You know, it's completely unfair that the closer we get to goal, the slower the weight comes off. For the past month or two I've gone from a steady 1-2 lbs a week, like clockwork, to .5 here, .2 there, and yesterday I lost nothing at all. I've been working so hard, staying on the plan and obsessively planning my MOMO and DOMOs, it's so completely frustrating. I talked with my JCC and we're going to try a few different things - upping my calories to 1500 to see if it's the new workout routine that's causing the problems, change my snack time to make sure I've got fuel in my system to burn when I do work out, but it's discouraging to work so hard week after week and get almost nothing (or, in yesterday's case, nothing at all!) to show for it.

Sorry, just needed to vent - I'm trying to stay motivated but some days it's really tough.

I absolutely know what you mean Jen Posted Image

It is SO frustrating. Like you, I was losing ounces and it seemed to take FOREVER to get to my goal.....but be rest assured my sweet friend, you WILL make it!!!;)

I'm really glad to hear your jcc is working w/you...sounds like she has some great ideas.

Be patient grasshoppa.....patience is a virtue....unfortunately, I dont possess much of it either  :)

:) Hi Jen, I so totally understand what you are going through. Its great that your JCC is helping you out at this point in your journey. Stay the course and be patient...loosing weight at this point is hard but it will come. You are doing an awesome job and take care!! :D

Jen,

I know, I know and you have my TOTAL sympathy. I took me over a year to lose 45 lbs. and the ONLY way I got through it was remembering that this was a LIFETIME change of my relationship with food so if it took a few more weeks, well, that's what was going to happen. :(

BUT, you have a GREAT JCC and it WILL eventually come off.

Have you thought about going back to all JC food until it does and skipping the DOMO and MOMOs until you do?

Thanks everyone, it does help to know I'm not the only one dealing with this, frustrating as it is.

Phyllis - I have considered it, but it's not a realistic option for me anymore, budget-wise. I've been on the 5-Jenny-Meals-A-Week for a couple of months now though, so I'm thinking that's okay. I'm hoping my JCC is right and it's because of the increased exercise...the Cardio Boxing workout is quite a bit more intense than the Wii Fit exercising I'd been doing before, so maybe it is related. Guess we'll find out next week...

First, I'm so impressed with your exercise routine! I don't even want to shadow box! LOL

And, yes, you'll most likely see results soon. In the interim, hang in there. I think you look fabulous already. :)

Thanks! Don't get TOO impressed, it is still just me and the Wii. It's definitely challenging, though for me it's a lot more fun and cathartic than anything else...I imagine the face of whichever boss is driving me crazy and that's where I punch. It's fantastic! :)

LOL - I LOVE that!! What a great inspiration it must be. Since I work for myself, that probably wouldn't be such a good idea. ;)

Savana - thank you so much! I keep that on my signature to remind myself on days like today that I'm still making progress, even when it doesn't feel like it. :)

Phyllis - HA! Probably not. I work for a bunch of lawyers though, so I've got a never ending supply of potential targets! :)
