Hi, I am feeling so discouraged ...I joined JC over two months ago after having lost approximately 40lbs on my own...I was at a stand still and felt I needed the push and encouragement of the meetings ect..the first week I saw good results...but it seemed after the first two wks I was back to square one and did not budge...after the Canadian Thanksgiving I had gained back the weight I lost...about 4 lbs...I am back at my start weight with JC...I know its because I am having binging problems...I am working out at Curves, walking and training for a 10k in early November so also jogging 4 to 5 times per wk...I just feel like giving up and throwing in the towel..yesterday I followed the plan but around 10pm I was hungry and caved in eating a slice of bread, 1 oz cheese and a can of JC tuna salad...this morning I was up another lb....I dont know if anyone else out there has this same problem of binging or eating when cravings happen..I dont know what to do...If anyone has suggestions or just wants to comment please do..thank you for taking the time to read this! :D

Hi Jengo,

Yes I'm in a similar situation. I lost 40 plus pounds on my own, then I joined JC like you. Thefirst week I lost 4lbs. The second and third week I stayed the same. Then I got the flu and gained back 2 lbs. It's frustrating. I have been eating off plan because I couldn't afford JC anymore so I know where the problem is.

In your case perhaps you are not consuming enough calories considering the amount of exercise you do. Perhaps you could discuss that with your counsellor. She/he might add another 100-200 calories per day to your meal plan and then you might see weight loss because you will feel more full and less likely to go off track.

Cjenny, ty for responding..I never even thought of that! I will talk with her this week about adding another 100 calories or so...maybe that is why...I am hoping reading comments and other peoples struggles will help me too...sometimes others have a different way of looking at things or think of something you never have such as your comment! thanks again jen :)
