I like most of the JC food, but somethings are just awful. I had the corn & chicken chowder & could only eat a couple spoonfuls before throwing it away. Of course before JC chowder was one of my fav things to make, I live in Maine so I love lobster chowder, corn chowder etc, & of course when I made it it was VERY unhealthy. Also the chicken salad kits aren't bad, once you get past the smell. This is only my 3rd week & next week I order my food which will be good cause my jcc sent me the form to fill out so now I know what I want & won't have to worry about getting things sent that I don't like. I'm very excited to try the apple cinn waffles, & cin buns. I love the french toast, cheese omelet. I really like the turkey burgers ( I put salsa on top- yummmm!) I was just wondering what everyone else thought of the food. Out of everything I tried those are the only two things I didn't like.

I am with you...some of the food is quite tastey and some has gone straight in the trash can. I haven't tried the chowder but from what I've heard no one likes it,so I am steering clear! ha ha. I like the chicken sandwiches with the "special saucce" that it comes with. I like the Turkey Burgers too..but,I don't like the Sliders at all. Love the Mac n Cheese and Fish n chips, cheese cake, cookies, popcorn. Don't like the Shelf foods except for the Sante Fe Chicken with rice & beans..that is very good stuffed in a red pepper and baked! YUM! Yes, I pick my own food too...much better than getting things you don't like! Good luck to you! :)

You know, food preferences are like anything else. There are some things that some people love and others hate.

I enjoy the pasta dishes, especially the carbonara and the fettucine so I tend to eat them a lot. The make me feel less like I'm dieting.

I generally add a small sprinkle of Pecorino Romano, some garlic powder, hot pepper flakes and, in the carbonara, a tbs. of frozen peas.

I do like the waffles but found that they're better if you cook them in the oven rather than the microwave (for the texture) and on pretty much any egg breakfast (scramble, sandwich, etc.), I will add salsa and hot sauce and it tastes more like the way I'm used to eating them.

I'm a fan of the turkey panini because I like having a "sandwich" for lunch and the turkey burger which, to be honest, is spiced the way I like it and much better than the usual ones you find like Jenny O.

And I'm pretty much addicted to the brownies and the cinnamon twists are FANTASTIC crumbled over baked apple bites. It's like an apple pie. Yum! :)

So keep experimenting and volumizing and trying different sauces and toppings and you'll likely find a bunch of things to enjoy. That's a big part of this battle too.

Keep up the great work! :)

I guess I'm in the minority b/c I love 99.9% of the jc food, (swedish meatballs not included Posted Image ) ......even though I am a creature of habit and eat the same things day in and day out. lol.

When I first started jc I would tease that I was finally eating gourmet food......doesnt say much about my cooking huh?! lol

I have my fav's......Turkey Burger, dressed up like a cheeseburger in all its splendor  LOVE LOVE LOVE the French Toast, I add extra blueberries.:P

All this talk of food is making me hungry....

I like most of the food too! Unfortunately, because it's SO convenient, I can't get past the smell of the salad kits so I don't order those. But I know there are folks on these boards who love them. One thing I'd love JC to develop is a non-heated lunch that doesn't smell bad :)

I LOVE most of the breakfasts and try to order mainly things that need to be heated up, those seem to fill me up more. But, the blueberry and banana loaves are very tasty too. The breakfast stuffed sandwich is my absolute favorite.

For lunch, again, I do like it all...especially the Turkey Burger, pizzas, and cheesy potatoes and fried chicken.

Dinners are great because I am usually home at dinnertime and can heat up a bunch of veggies to go alongside my JC meal. For taste and consistency, I try to heat the dinners up in the oven rather than in the microwave. I've been eating a LOT of asparagus lately, so my dinners go alongside the asparagus that I am roasting in the oven. My favorite dinners are the Turkey (which I hear is going away?), lasagna, rising crust pizza, meat loaf, fish and chips (MUST be heated in the oven, rubbery in the microwave), spaghetti and meatballs (the biggest surprise, in my opinion...quite delicious).

Desserts...I have a sweet tooth, and it's all good! Especially the sinful-tasting triple-chocolate cheesecake. The smores bars are especially good too. I do love my sweets!

Have a great weekend, all! My oldest son is coming home from college for the weekend! I'll have to cook for him, but that's ok :)

While i do like quite a bit of the food,
However some stuff is just spiced way to much like the chilli and beans was ridiculously spicy, i like the meatball stuffed sandwich but find it also a little to peppery for my taste. The beef chow mein was one of my favorites but its also a hit or miss if i see it has alot of red peppers in it i know its going to be too hot some day (not all packages are equal.

I enjoy the warm breakfast like breakfast stuffed sandwich and sunshine sandwich. I really like the classico parm and the seasame dinner. I am going to try the the rising crust pizza.

I love the french toast and blueberry pancakes with "sausage" . Don't like the breakfast stuffed sandwich or the sunrise sandwich.

For lunch - chicken sandwich, turkey burger or panini are my favs.

Dinner - love the pasta dishes, hated the chicken tomatillo.

Mine are the French Toast as well.....and the Turkey Burger, Panini's and chicken sandwich.

Something I do with my Chicken patty is cook it like normal, then shred it and add bbq sauce.....taste like a pulled pork sammy. yummmmm

Melissa - I'm not a bit fan of the chicken sandwich but I never thought to do what you do. I think that would be very delicious.

I am new to JC. Today marks my second week on the program. I generally like the food, but I don't think there is enough variety to stick with the JC food long-term. I love the convenience of the foods and most (not all) of it is pretty tasty. They really need more fish, turkey, and pork. Dinners are mostly chicken, more chicken, and even more chicken. I know why they do it...chicken is an inexpensive protein source, and it's popular...but we pay a premium for this food, so I think a shrimp dish, or a bit of cod, or adding back turkey is a good idea. I think instead of "retiring" foods, it would be a good idea if JC added a half doz MORE offerings to lunch, snacks and breakfast, and even more to their dinner options with extended variety. Also, waaaay too much of the food is over-processed. The meals and snacks could be made far healthier. For what we pay, I'd like to see a LOT more organic foods, less "shelf" foods, fewer soy fillers, more whole grain rather than refined white flours, and NO high fructose syrup or artificial flavorings whatsoever. I'm super grateful that there isn't a lot of artificial sweeteners in their foods, or I wouldn't be on the program. What I can say is that the program works so far. It's a little pricey (c'mon, can't you add at least the soupertizers to the program without asking us to pay additional?) but if I lose the 70 lbs I need to lose, then what I pay to JC is worth every penny! I just can't see myself eating JC foods for more than another month or two without getting sick and tired of what's available even if I do "volumize" and flavor-up everything, and I really don't want to have to cook my own! We need another 4 or 5 fish and turkey options, at least, PLEASE.
