You're right, it's really disappointing when you don't immediately lose but you did GREAT the second week! Good for you!
This is a terrific program but you're also right that if you don't have that much to lose and as we get older, it's more difficult.
I am curious though. Why are you only walking once a week? It would be much better and you'd probably build up your endurance faster and better if you walked even a mile or two at least three times a week. Is that the only exercise you're getting? If so, that COULD be your biggest problem. (BTW, this is being said from someone who until recently didn't do ANY exercise. LOL)
But otherwise, your goal to get healthy, is a great one to have because it's something important and concrete to work toward.
Please come to the boards often for support, encouragement, ask questions, rave about successes and rant about problems. We're all here with you and for you!

Besides, you'll have your hubby with you and that will help a lot.
No need to feel intimidated by the boards. None of us is going to bite or judge you.
Sorry for the confusion about the walking. Now I get it.
Come and chat whenever you want. One or more of us will always be here to "listen" and help whenever or wherever we can.

Boot camp starts next Weds. Very nervous. My husband is excited so I'll give it a go and let you know if I survive.

So sorry to hear that! Have you had your thyroid checked? Are you on new meds or medication that makes losing difficult?
I assume you're getting in at least your 64 oz. of water.
It doesn't make a lot of sense. How about inches? Has she measured you lately? Maybe what's not coming off on the scale is at least showing up on the tape measure, especially since you've been working out with weights.
Also, what calorie level are you on? Sometimes it needs to be adjust up or down.
Our bodies are odd things and they can get temperamental.
Hang in there! Post more often. It's especially helpful when you're going through a difficult period to stay on track and focused. We're here for you.
