HI guys, Well, I did not too bad last weigh in- down 1.7 lbs. I hope my ticker works to update, I went in and updated it, so we will see if it shows up here. Mindy great job on the loss! Making your 15 lbs goal must feel awesome! Bummer about the weight loss challange for $100 though. Just celebrate your success with something else! Cbert, great job on the loss despite being in Vancouver and drinking and eating out. I also had one meal out this week, it was my planned MOMO though. We went out to celebrate my daughters birthday. I have been doing pretty good getting back on track this week. Have been journally in my Jenny menu my extras, and water consumption and exercise. Hopefully I can continue on track all week. I have a mini challange at Jenny to loose 10 lbs by Feb 14, so far I think I have lost 3.6, so I need to get on it! I have 3.5 weeks to loose the rest. Temeka, how are you doing, glad you are still trying and staying on the chat group with us! Anyways, have a great week everyone! Jen

Hi!! I'm new to JC but I didn't join in Oct. so I hope ya'll don't mind me jumping in and ask questions. I've been on this for a month and I just did a reorder for my food for the month. I thought it would cost way less the 2nd time for my order but found that it's more then what I expected!! Is it normally around $600. every time? or am I'm paying for too much? Just some advice would help me a lot to what I should be doing and ordering... Thanks ya'll!!

Welcome Joni! I get my food at a center so I don't know about ordering for delivery, but I have gathered from these forums that the shipping adds a lot to your total. :( When I was buying a full week's worth of JC meals and snacks it was about $125 (I am doing my own breakfast and snacks now so I'm down to about $95/week) which would be $500/month. I don't suppose you got an itemized bill with that order.

Good news, Oct. buddies! I was down 1.8 at my WI this morning! I'm 1.2 pounds away from halfway!!! I even took my glasses off to get it to an even 2lbs but alas they apparently don't weigh anything.

My halfway goal reward is going to be a new hairdo and professional highlights. I lost so much self-esteem as I got heavier and heavier last year that I stopped doing anything like that for myself. Goodbye ponytails and Clairol! :D

BTW my Goal Reward is going to be something like microdermabrasion. Has anyone out there done that???

Thank You Mindy for the post and answering me back. I ended up calling back and was able to get the price down by $100. I found out the secert that if you order a LOT of frozen foods then the price will go up because of the shipping, it'll weight a whole lot more! You buy most of the shelf idems and you won't have that problem! I'm learning and I also lost a total of 8 pounds!!!!! Thank you all for all the posts. I've been reading them and have been encouraged a lot by them. It keeps me going!!

@cbert, you're doing really good!! it's going to come off slow so don't worry about it!! I remember when I was really big and pushing 240 pounds and I lost a lot of weight and was in a size 8 about 8 years ago! I've tried every diet since then and just couldn't shed the pounds when I started to gain weight!! I'm glad that I'm on this diet now with JC! I feel like I can get to my goal!!

Hi Girls,
Welcome Joni, it is always nice to have a new member on here to chat with! You are doing great! I also get my food at a Jenny centre, but mine is about 130/week. I have a problem right now of having lots of Jenny left over from days where I decide to eat my own cooking. I still watch my portions and eat lots of vegies when I have a MOMO, so far I am still loosing weight. I weigh in today. I am going to take a list of my extras with me. My hubby said I am not allowed to buy any more meals until I catch up eating all the left overs I have. Our freezer barely has any more room in it for more! I hope it goes ok with my Jenny consultant, because I need to get all these extras eaten. I guess I agree with my hubby, and hopefully my Jenny cons. will too.
Cbert, you are doing so well! Your weight loss is just slowing down because your body is getting used to it. I found also that my weight loss has slowed down, I lost big amts my first few weeks and now it has curbed a bit. But, still going down, that is the important part. I think this is a healthier way to loose weight too. My Jenny consultant said 1-2 lbs per week is a healthy weight loss. I have also tried many diets, and when you cut back too much and loose weight fast, I have found that it is an unrealistic lifestyle and I don't stick with it because it is too hard to maintain. That is the big thing, I have found I have to make it a lifestyle, not just loose the weight quickly and then try to learn how to eat healthy when the weight is all gone, because I never get to that point where I have gotten to my goal weight with fast weight loss diets.
Speaking of the lifestyle thing, my hubby finally agreed to start trying to eat healthier with me. We weigh in together once a week, and so far he has lost 7 lbs in 3 weeks. I think our whole house eating healthier will be good for our daughter as well. She is not at all over weight, but eating healthy is always a good thing to teach your children.
Mindy, great job on the weight loss. Reaching your goal and having your prize of new hairdo and highlights is awesome. I think that is a great idea, now I just have to think of a prize I want..... maybe a day at the spa!
take care everyone, Jen

Well, I did ok, lost 0.8 lbs. For a week that I ate my cooking and out more than I ate Jenny, I will just be happy that I am still going down! Hope you all are doing good. Jen

WOW!! What are you doing to lose that much in a week?

Hi all, had a good week this week - I hit the 20lb mark! :) Also 20 inches. I'm able to put my jeans in the dryer. And I've moved all the way to the inside hooks of my bras. WOOHOO

I've also gotten myself into a pickle, but a good one in the longrun. Last fall I signed my 3rd grade daughter up for something called Girls On the Run. It's an esteem-building program for young girls, and in the process they train for a 5K. It finally started last week. I was asked to be a "coach helper" once a week. I said, "Sure, as long as I don't have to run!" LOL Well then I come to find out that all girls participating in the 5K event at the end of the program must have an accompanying adult run with them. So I'm biting the bullet and training for a 5K to do with my daughter. This is so outside my box! I'm terrified. Even when I was young and 120lbs, and I actually did run regularly (we called it jogging back then LOL), I hated it and never got beyond 2miles. Wish me luck!

cbert and jenQ - great job! Even with the cupcakes, Jen. You're right, get right back on track...no more waiting til tomorrow since we ate a cupcake or two today. That's great strides in your mindset, which is such an important part of what we're learning with jenny. :)

Hi all, Great job Mindy in hitting the 20lbs lost mark! That is awesome, feels great doesn't it? I can totally relate to being able to put your jeans in the dryer! I can too now, in fact I have to put them in the dryer to shrink to wear them and they are still baggy. I want to go buy new jeans, but am waiting until I hit the 40lbs lost mark for the reward to be new jeans. Hopefully this Friday! Awesome on the running. YOu can do it! You will actually be amazed at yourself. When I used to run, I was floored when I reached running for 5K. I can hardly believe that I used to run every day as well. I loved running. Now I can barely walk 3 blocks! But most of that is the MS, as before my body started this relapse, I could walk much more. I am also happy to post that my MS neurologist just told me I can start physio finally! I am soooo excited to finally be able to work at getting my stregth back. I can hardly wait to be able to do more again. Sounds kind of crazy, I know to be excited to exercise, but I have been unable to for so long, that I can't wait to do those things again. Running with your daughter will be such an awesome challenge for the 2 of you to accomplish together. Best of luck! Jen
