Ok, Nobody is anal here, just practical. Some of these products can be real calorie hogs and I can see why one would want to know. We work so hard at losing weight and would hate to jeopardize it!!

ITA, Missy.
I use both. I like the Greek Yogurt for sweet stuff---adding cinnamon, apples, fruit, etc.
I use the FF sour cream for other more savory things, such as the Swedish Meatballs. I use it with some non-JC foods too---Amy's brand Indian entrees, and Mexican entrees.

FF Sour Cream

calories per tbsp 12
sodium 23 mg.
total carbs 2.5 mg.
protein 0.5 mg.

FF Plain Greek Yogurt

calories per tbsp 8.33
sodium 5 mg.
carbs .5 mg.
protein 1.25 mg.

 Don't just focus on the calories but look at the sodium, carbs and protein differences. The Greek Yogurt turns out to be better because it is lower in sodium & carbs but higher in protein. The other thing to remember is that fat free sour cream is more manufactured than the greek yogurt. So I go with the yogurt because it has more uses than the fat free sour cream. I am totally Team Yogurt!!! :)

Here's a great salad dressing recipe with FF Greek Yogurt:
Mix (or better yet, make your own) no sodium salsa with some FF Greek Yogurt (adds flavor and texture). It's delicious and so long as the salsa has no sodium, you can use as much salsa as you wish! :)

I make a tzatziki sauce using it and dip veggies in it when I would like a little snack. I tend to use a little more lemon than they use in the recipie, as it gives it a little more kick.

Why it is better than fat free sour cream?

Because of the high protein count in greek yogurt.

Another good way of having plain greek yogurt is by adding around 1/8 -1/4 tsp of the PURE Crystal Light. I like the PURE because is all natural no artifical ingredts. It takes the bitterness away and with fresh strawberries, oh so good!
