So, I'm on Day Three. Crazy excited..and strangely nervous. Go figure. I'm using the Max program with the armband..and it freakin rocks. I only wish that they had the Bluetooth version so I could be updating my progress every minute. JC needs to make the armband mandatory...it is an eye opener. Maybe they could create a loaner program for everyone for the first three weeks or something. But man...what a glimpse into your life and the way your body is working.

I'm tracking my food..including my beverages..and my "free foods"...which I've never done before in my life..as a matter of fact..I've never thought about it before. Who in their right mind tracks the food they eat..but I'm doing it.

I've noticed the moments when I would normally grab a bag of pretzels, or some cheese, or a bag of M&M's...when you start paying attention...you start to realize how bad you actually are eating. This is fantastic.

I grew up on a farm and so you cleaned your plate..and you would get a big old steak for dinner. Portions have taken on a whole new meaning for me in the last three days. I'm reading packaging...calorie counts...I'm completely fascinated.

The other thing I'm in love with. Quite simply. Planned menus. I haven't had to think about anything. There is the menu. Heat it up and eat it. Done. Not sure this could be much easier...at least so far. I've read some of the other forums and the ladies seem to be on board cheering each other on. So if someone needs some cheering on..let me know. I've quickly become a fan of Jenny's.

Scott
I have to agree completely I have been on JC since February 2011 and I am just under 70 lbs down and within 5 lbs of my goal weight. I am on the Max program as well and I think the arm band is a major reason why it worked for me this time. I was totally shocked what amount of physical activity I registered on my first day when I just did my normal routine now I do a least 45 min a day up to about 2 and ½ hours.
Good luck to you on JC stick with it , it is well worth it.

Congrats on the weight loss guys! I'm down 30 pounds so far myself and I started wearing the armband too (even if on "trial basis" as an employee). The price of the Max program just went up so anyone wanting the armband must be really committed. Loaners are a great idea but we'd rather they just buy the thing. :-)

Okay week two is behind me..and subtract another 5.8 pounds..so we are at a grand total of 11.4. What the ****? How did it happen? Jenny Craig is brilliant..sadly enough...it's not even really hard. But yet it is. How many years have I just been eating? Then getting larger and then just cutting out sugar? Thank flippin god for that action. I've been eating like a moron for the better part of my adult life anyway.

All these years of those nutrional labels on the side of packaging..and I've been just "looking" at them. I never really read them. I have been for the past two weeks, I gotta tell ya...I'm a **** of a lot smarter than I was. Not smart enough yet.

So I started Week Three today. The ladies at the center of course are very smart about this stuff, so they are already starting to talk me down about expecting this kind of weight loss every week. I'm listening to them. (They have been right so far...why in the **** would I stop listening now?)

I got to substitute a few food items this week...for which I am massively grateful. I've been a very good boy by following the weekly planner...and of course consuming mass quantities of "free foods"...which includes an unnatural obsession with V-8 as well as virgin bloody mary's. ;-) I'm also completely addicted to Blueberry/Banana Nut mini loaf's for breakfast as well as the Stuffed Breakfast Sandwiches. They are fantastic..and would be willing to eat them every morning...ah there is my fat guy coming out again. Anyway.

I'm hoping that the routine continues for me. I've got energy, excitement and I'm feeling so forward to the future right now. It's weird.

Keep up the good work -- guys tend to lose the weight faster than the women in the beginning.

The initial weight loss is water and some fat, the later weeks, mostly fat, which is why the later weight loss is about 1-2 pounds a week. This is healthy weight loss because it's easier to keep the weight off long term if you are gradually losing, as opposed to a crash diet.

I tell some of the folks at my center to cut out the nutritional labels from the Jenny Craig boxes and bring them to the supermarket to compare with the "other" so-called diet foods. Our food has much less sodium and more fiber which is better for long term weight loss.

Those banana nut and blueberry muffins are great. Did you check out the seasonal pumpkin cranberry muffin yet?
Also, I'm told the new Grilled Chicken Tomatillo is very good and spicy, if you enjoy Mexican-style food. I bet it even tastes better with a tablespoon of low-fat or fat free sour cream on top.

Keep up the great work -- if you don't have a metabolic max armband yet for your physical activity, then ask yourself: How many calories do I burn daily? A great investment in yourself.

Let us know how you are doing and congratulations again on your sucesses!

Okay....it's day two....feeling great...loving the food. Can someone fill me in on what the arm band thing is? That was not explained to me by my intake counselar....but I'm highly curious.

Good to read all your posts.

I think JC is prety easy as well. I like the food already prepared. I am an at home client. I like it. I have tried the centers before, which are nice but it is about a 40 minute trip each way.

Keep up the good work.
