It's been a few days since my weigh in and I gotta say I'm sorta happy with the first result. I'm down 3 lbs for my first week. Personally, I figured I would've lost at least 4 lbs, but I'll take it. So far my mind set has been pretty good and I've even got my hubby on a diet too. Today was a good/bad day for me. This morning I woke up to the most incredible energy spurt that I've had in years. Once up I got cracking on the utility room and part of my house. The hubby wondering if I took something to get me flowing, but I didn't. By this afternoon I puttered out, took a nap and wanted to so badly to munch. In fact, I could have gone for chicken wings sooooooo badly. My hubby was willing n able to get in the car and go! Needless to say I gained my will power back and the only thing I could think of is how will I sleep tonight and feel tomorrow morning. Gosh, it was as if I wanted to go out drinking instead! Well, I ate my meal at home and within seconds feeling the fullness (like tick) I was so happy I stayed home. So with all that said here I am sitting here typing for the motiviation and encouragement of you all. Thanks for listening till next week.

Congrats on a great first weigh-in but more importantly for showing some TERRIFIC willpower. You have a super mindset and I'm glad your hubby is not only being supportive but is sharing this journey with you.

If you're looking for the Buffalo Chicken taste, check out this page. There's lots of Buffalo Chicken recipes.

The bruschetta chips and the cheese curls also can give you the "crunch" feeling you're looking for.

Good luck, keep in touch, and come here whenever you need motivation, a distraction from a craving, have questions or want to cheer a personal victory.

We're all here for you.

Whoooo-Hoooo! You're going to do great! :)

You go girl......3lbs is a grrrreat start!

I know very well the feeling of wanting to munch down on old favs....but the absolute liberation I feel when I pass them up is PRICELESS!!!...and I know that is how you are feeling as well.

The more you exercise your willpower, the easier it will get to pass up the snacks......and just think, everytime you pass up the funky junky food, you gain more control of your life.....so yayyyyy for you!!!!!

Thanks ladies for those great words of encouragment and for also being great cheerleaders. It is hard as we all know and I think the weekend makes it more diffilcult too. We have grown up in a society that says work, work, work Monday thru Friday and P A R T Y come from Friday night till Sunday. How do we ever get over that 40 year habit? Ok, 44 for me! LOL I mean I want to eat and play and eat all weekend. Today it was tackling another room in my house which as kept me very busy all day. Whew! Thanks goodness for that because I really think laying around would have driven me straight to the refridgerator. Like my grandmother used to say whenI would stand there just peering inside the fridge "What are you looking for?". That sentence still resonates in my brain to this day. I'm searching for really nothing except boredom. So I've been busy as a bee and once again thanks for your kind words to help me get by.
