Hello,

I'm a new Mommy!..and it has been such a joy but also a bit challenging. The biggest one I'm facing is losing weight. I am not happy with my body, especially my belly and thighs. I had a C-section so for those who don't know what that looks like (Imagine something being sown up when it is still large)..that's what my belly looks like. I used to have a Coca Cola shape and I desperately want it back. My second challenge is I'm in my mid 30's and I don't have as much as energy as I use to..and lastly, I do not have a plan to lose weight and need some direction on getting started.

I might need a Mommy buddy for motivation and support..I don't know..

But any suggestions new Moms!...what have you done? what works? what doesn't?...

I am in the same boat. I just had a c-section (my 2nd) last week. Just remember that it took 9 months to get a pregnant belly and it's going to take time for the muscles to get back in shape. I am looking forward to starting Jenny again when I'm allowed to (per dr. and JC orders). Just take little steps and small goals. You will get there! Also, breastfeeding helped me drop 30 lbs the first pregnancy!! Every little bit helps.
Good luck!

Hey, new mama! I am a member of your club :) Our daughter is almost nine months old. I totally agree with what you wrote about motherhood being a joy but also "challenging." That is a great way to put it! It's the biggest change we will ever face, and it completely transforms us, body and soul.

I will totally be your "Mommy Weight Loss Buddy" if you need support! I just started on JC a month ago, but it is absolutely the easiest weight loss plan I've ever tried, and I've lost ten pounds so far (1/4 of the way to my goal!). It's so mom-friendly, too; all the guesswork is taken out of planning your meals. I love it!

Best wishes :)

Warmly,
Jamie

It has been 17 years since my C-section but I remember how I felt. I describ it as being chewed up and spit out. You have just been thru 9 months of pregnancy, and to top it off the you have major surgery, then you get to go home and take care of a baby. Sounds like a bad joke but it isn't. Before you spend too much time worrying about weight, let yourself recover, bond with and enjoy your baby, and find 2 -3 outfits that are comfortable and make you feel good. Whatever you do don't read anything about celebrity super moms that leave the hospital in size 0 jeans and babble on about how easy it all is. Nobody gets to write the book about how to handle life at this time. we all do the best we can. In my case it took almost 4 months to recover from the surgery, once I healed I felt better and was able to start walking a few miles pushing a stroller. By the time my daughter was a year old I was back to where I was before. Do what works for you and ignore the rest. Good Luck!
