Doing really well with JC food and am now on week 5 so after 2 weeks of having to tell my consultant that I didn't get around to exercising I decided I just needed to work on that. I guess that's the body part of JC philosophy in addition to the food and mind parts. Exercise isn't something I've done in a very very long time. My JCC told me about the C25K program and said she's done it several times so I found it on the Internet and also got an app on my phone for it ..only $1.99 they have for droid and iPhones. Got some running shoes and just went out and did it, helped to be able to play my own music and the intervals of running and walking helped too. It's designed for those who have been sitting on their butts on the couch so I guess that's me. Anyone have any experiences to share on this? I figure I need to focus on exercise and not just the food but it's a challenge for me. I felt really good though that I did it!! I think it also helped having my consultant who I had to "report" to and hearing my sorry excuses for not being able to get out there...I am just lazy but I'm changing. I also have some christopher's challenges that were sent to me by another consultant..

Yes, I am on week 8 of C25K. Have you already completed it? If so that's wonderful. I've certainly had my challenges with it, sometimes I have repeated a week when I just wasn't feeling like I was ready to move on to the next.

No, this is day 1 of week 1 for me. It sure wasn't easy but I think the results will be fabulous!!

Good for you. I've found it to be a great program, I never thought I could run 28 minutes straight.

Camelsrule, Have you found anything similar for the iPhone as far as toning is concerned...i love the Couch to 5K app, but was wondering if there is any App that walks you through toning exercises (for beginners , of course).

You look great , btw!

This morning, I finished W2 D3 and, dare I say it? I've been enjoying running!! I just want to be one of those people who get up in the morning, run three miles and get on with their day. And I think that dream might actually come true! My husband and I signed up for a 5K at the beginning of December and I'm excited that we'll actually be able to run it. I have the app for android "C25K Pro" and I really like it. It allows you to play your own music, too, which is nice. I tried to work the program a few years ago with a stop watch, but I would always get confused on which number of run I was on. I think the app is going to make a big difference. I also download the song "Sexy and I know it" from LMFAO... It helps... :-)

Good luck!

Barbara,

Thanks! Unfortunately I have not found something similar for toning and I have looked. I do love the active.com website and it has a section with strength and toning info (http://www.active.com/fitness/). If I find anything more along the C25k lines I will post for you.

Keep up with it! You're doing great. You'll easily get to those 3 miles if you just follow the plan.
