I'm on the diet now for my second day and the massive headache just won't stop. Has anyone experienced this before? I know that it's not the food and maybe I'm in the withdrawals. I admit it I'm a foodholic.

I've suffered from headaches (migraines and sinus) since I was five. No fun and you have my sympathy.

Withdrawal? I dunno. Most headaches are vascular in nature although some can be food allergies. But I can't imagine there's anything THAT strange in JC food that you wouldn't have consumed before and would have noticed then that it caused a reaction.

Where's the headache? If it's one-sided and you're having visual problems, it's likely a migraine. If it's mostly across your forehead and around your eyes and the upper part of your face, it's probably sinus (which can be allergies, air quality, humidity or atmospheric pressure in general. If it's like a band around your head, it's tension (which all things being equal is understandable even if you're not embarking on a diet).

If it's a combination and you're also feeling nausea and any other symptoms, it COULD be the food (again, still doubtful) but either contact your doctor or talk to your JCC consultant to see if there are some foods which have triggered severe headaches

(No, I'm not a doctor but I've head headaches for over 50 years so I'm sort of a specialist on them. LOL)

Anyway, take care and hope you feel better soon!

I started on a Friday back in September and remembered having getting a headache after a day or two .. It did go away after a few days. I remember seeing others on the board post about it and I also looked on the Internet and it said it was basically your body adjusting to the changes in types of food going from high carb to more fruits veggies etc. So hopefully you will feel better soon. About a week after that I got lots of gas and they say that is also another sign of your body adjusting . . Although some people felt the anytime bars contribute to the gas..but after a week or so of that the gas went away also. I guess just think of it as a detox process for your body. If the headache gets worse though or doesn't go away you may want to have a doctor check it out. Best wishes!,

I agree it could your body adjusting, but you really could be going through withdrawals.....like from caffiene if you suddenly stopped it, or from sugar if you were used to eating alot of sweets before JC. I was a sweet/coke-a-holic before jc, and when I stopped them abruptly I got headaches horribly.....but they subsided after a few days.

Your body is going through SO many changes right now since you started a new eating plan.....give it a few days, I think it will pass.....at least most ppl on here have said it passes.
