About a month before my membership was due to renew, I received a message from my center that I would need to renew my next appointment. So I discussed with my JCC that I prefer to wait until closer to the actual date. She said sure. Then last week, on the 31st I received a call that my JCC and the receptionist (who called me this time) were talking about me needing to renew. The receptionist said the director overheard them and asked her to call me and let me know that I needed to renew by "end of business that day". I asked why. She didn't know and said I could come in and do it or do it over the phone.

I said I would prefer to wait until the next week when I see my JCC. She said ok and hung up. Then it hit me, my JCC would not have been in that day to discuss anything as that is her off day.

So is a year membership a full year? Is there a reason I needed to renew already? Why the hard sell on a renewal?

Anyone else have this experience? Am I missing something? I have left a message for my JCC to call me as I am not scheduled until later this week. Thanks.
