Well, I'm back. I stopped following Jenny for about 2-3mths and am back where I started. Well today is a fresh start. My new goal is to lose at least 50lbs instead of 100. I have to take it one day at a time. I know I will get there. Gosh, I may even need to look at it as one meal at a time. I feel like i'm in a vunerable state right now with all of the stress. I work full-time, grad student part-time, my mom is visiting recuperating frm almost dying, my son is 18(shall i say more...), and two dogs to entertain. I konw I can do it. I haven't given up. I think my biggest barrier is my mind and motivation. I'm going to try to come here everyday for support.

Congratulations at getting back on track. DonnaLee said it best, come here for great moral support during this process--you won't be doing it alone that way.

Welcome back!

Yes, I would suggest taking it one meal at a time......and 10lbs at a time as well, it is less overwhelming and seems more attainable than large numbers. Also rewarding yourself after 10 lbs lost keeps your motivation up.....like a mani w/a funky nail polish, new earrings, workout dvd, a new tea and candle to make you feel all warm and fuzzy.....so so many things you can do for yourself, YOU DESERVE IT!!!

I know the stress is tough, and your situation sounds VERY stressful......but hang in there and do come here often and post along with us.....just voicing your frustrations helps alot.

Welcome back and yes you can do it! I stopped too and hope that i find support here too! I'm a stress eater so I'm trying to relax and when stressed go to my computer and look for support if my son(he's 3) will let me. I hope I can help motivate you. Good luck to us both.

You can do it! I think you are wise to choose a 50lb goal instead of 100, that way you can reevaluate after 50 and make sure you are ready for the next 50! That is what I did, set my goal a little higher than I originally thought so that I didn't feel so overwhelmed. This is only my third week but the difference I am noticing from other diets is that I don't seem to have those cravings/urges for something off the plan, probably because of the wide variety of food and snacks, so far so good! I told myself when I decided to sign up that this could take a year (getting the weight off) and I emotionally prepare myself for that (which is an everyday task). I too have a family, lots of pets, and a fulltime job so I appreciate the menu being there for me everyday telling me what to eat, cuts down on a little stress of trying to figure out what to eat each day as I had to on other diets. Good luck!

I agree with Blessed4Life, make yourself have mini goals. They're more easily attainable and they really do add up while your weight goes down.

You sound as if you unfortunately REALLY have your hands full but make sure that you don't fill up mouth with food that's only going to make it more difficult.

You have a great attitude and JC is a very sensible and manageable diet and I believe in you! This time you're going to see tremendous success.

And here's the thing. Once you start losing the weight, you can take one more thing off your "to do" list and you'll be healthier, happier and in better shape to tackle all of the other challenges you're dealing with.

We're here for you! Come and let us support you as often as you need.

Welcome back!
