Congrats! I'm not from Wisconsin (Florida here) but there's nothing to be nervous about. The plan was made to be easy and if you have any questions, just come to the boards or hit the chat button and I'm sure one of us will be able to help you through it or direct you to where you can find an answer.

You're going to do great! :)

Holy Cow!! You guys are doing great!!! Do you do the pre planned meals for the week or do you guys make your own? I felt like i spent ALOT of money on food this time.. it totaled $166.. that just seems a bit high for them telling me i'd be spending between 12-18 a day.. have any suggestions for how i can get that down?

I am on maintenance now. I hit my goal back in January. I do still eat the JC cheesecake and I have gotten some of the breakfast (because I like them) but for the most part I eat my own meals.

You could cut the anytime bars and just have milk and a multivitamin. Some people cut the snacks...but I like those. You could also cut the souptizers.

You should probably stay on the program the way it is for the first couple of weeks for several reasons. One, it will give you a chance to try most/all of the food. Two, you will be able to really get a feel for portion sizes and what you can and can't eat off plan.

After that there are several ways to save money.

For instance, you can substitute any type of whole grain cereal (1 cup) for the JC cereal and use a 1% or non-fat milk. Personally, I can't stand skim milk but I do like fat free half and half in my cereal.

There are 100 calorie snacks all over the place but use the snacks you bought from JC to take to the store to compare the nutritional value. As long as they're close, you can use those snacks which are generally a whole lot less expensive. (Personally, though, I haven't found anything that beat the JC brownie.)

As Reddyrawks pointed out, you don't need the Anytime bar (take one cup of low-fat or fat-free milk or a piece of non-fat cheese or a sugar free, fat free yogurt and a vitamin) and you'll get the same benefits.

You also don't need to buy the souptizers. If you want veggie soup, you can definitely make your own for a whole lot less money and store individual servings in small containers and freeze or refrigerate as you need/want them.

The other thing is that you should ask your JC Consultant (JCC) for a price list. Then you can take that home and decide what you want to order. Some foods are considerably more expensive than others with the frozen ones being the most expensive and even within that, you'll find that some frozen meals are more expensive than others. The same thing holds true for the snacks.

Hope that helps and come back to the boards whenever you want to discuss your progress or ask a question. :)

I will tell you this... today was my first soup thing.. and i hated it.. it was horrible.. just not my liking at all so next week I may not get any of them and just eat some extra veggies instead. Otherwise the other food has been pretty good!

I just started the JC program. Tried other programs but hope this will keep me motivated to lose it and keep it off. Been blaming weight gain on post menopause but 50# overweight and BF in 34 range makes me take this step towards losing and getting heathly!!
