What did you set as your goal weight?

I am 5'8'' and I had no idea what to set as my goal weight. It has been so long since I have been in an average weight BMI that I have no idea what is a good weight. The range for me is anywhere from 120 to 165. I don't think I was 120 when I ran high school track and ate whatever I wanted and it did not matter. I think my bones may weigh 120.

Just curious what everyone set as a goal weight for your height?

I'm a little under 5'7 and I set my goal at 135.
I'm not sure how I came up with that number, and have actually been thinking alot about if it's the right weight to be at now that I'm getting close to it. I don't have a petite bone structure, but I'm realizing it's also not as large as I thought it was (sometimes we're not just big boned lol). Remember, your goal isn't set in stone though, so talk to your JCC about it too!

I'm also 5'8 and I set 155 as my goal. Pretty close the middle of the healthy BMI range for our height. Thought this would be fairly easy for me to maintain.

I'm 5'2 and my goal weight was 132 which put me into sizes 6 or 8. I supposed I could have tried for a size 2 or 4, but I'm find with being a Medium rather than a small. Besides, for my size, I'm sort of large-boned.

In high school I was 125 or maybe a little less and a size 10-12 so I think over think over the years the sizing has changed to make women feel better about themselves and buy more.

IMHO, don't worry so much about your goal. It's an arbitrary number that can be changed as you go along. Keep going until you're happy with the way you look and feel.

I set my goal weight at 155 and at 5'6" that is in the middle of the BMI range. As I have been doing JC I realized that I want to change my goal weight to 145 and I have asked my JCC and she said there is a process to go through. So, does anyone know what that process is???? She did not elaborate so I will definately get it changed this week at my WI.

I'm 5'6" and set my goal weight at 165. I remember being around 165 and looked and felt good. Of course if I achieve that and still want to go on I will.

I am 5'8" and I set my goal at 165. This is my first goal I needed to make it obtainable. My second goal will be 150.

I am 5'6" tall, and I set my goal weight to 140 pounds. I have yet to reach my goal weight, and I hope to with JC! Good luck to all of you!

I'm 5'2 and set my goal at 140. I may be short, but I'm far from petite. Even though the computer said my lowest was, I think, 107 and my highest was 140, I wanted to hit 140 and then go from there. Back when I was fresh out of military boot camp and 18, I was 140 and wore size 10/12. I was skinny at that weight/size. Heck, I gave birth to an almost 9lb baby when I was 20, so I know if I tried for the 107 range, I would probably look skeletal.

I do know that not everyone who is the same height will all look/weigh the same. My sister is 5ft and is petite. She can rock 120 or less and look good. While others her height might look skeletal at 120. I blame genetics. *nods*

I am 5'5" and my goal is 145. I may change to 135, but will wait and see how I feel. :)

Hi all,

I set my goal for 140. At 5'4" and with a "healthy" bone structure ;) , I believe this will put me at a size 10. Until I had my son, 21 one years ago, I was always 120, but in looking back at the pictures, I looked too thin.

im 5'6 and have set my first goal at 175....not sure why...i guess i didnt want to go all crazy and set it to 145 which is where i was at most of my life because it was too much weight to loose for me....when i stopped smoking 15 years ago....i started gaining...then i had to go through 7 knee surgery's which really added the weight....and now i am 55 years young a granny to 5 and really feel like i need to get my weight under controll....so i started jc....so far it has really got me moving in the right direction and now i am down 21 pounds....my hubby and i walk a total of an hour and a half a day....and we have gotten so much closer as we walk and talk...i will be happier then ever with reaching my first goal....175....but have always knew i would move my goal down as i hit the lower numbers...that is my dream... :D

I actually went a little conservative with my goal. I wasn't at all sure I could make it all the way to where I really want to be, so at 5'3", I set my goal at 150 lbs. I'm working with my JCC to see if I can drop it to 140, but I'm like a couple of the others here and large boned, so if I went too much below that, it would look really unhealthy on me.
