You should be VERY proud of yourself...you are a great inspiration and encouragement to many here and in your personal life I am sure.
I agree Barb.....take pics and compare to old ones, you will see the difference.
Now about the mirror.....it is a liar! lol......seriously, our perception is deceiving sometimes. We are so use to seeing ourselves as overweight and obese, and we have programmed our brains for so long in thinking we are this one way, that it is hard to see ourselves as anything else. I have had this problem as well. I even find myself going to the big girl clothes STILL to this day. grrrrrr....what the heck??? lol.
I tell my hubby all the time he has a delusional perception of himself.....when he looks in the mirror he thinks he is this young, buff hunk of manliness. lol......funny how our brains plays tricks on us.....scary too though. ha
Take a look at this cartoon below....how true is this? lol

Blessed is absolutely correct about how our mind works.
I had lost the weight and almost reached goal and I was still not happy with what I saw in the mirror.
One day I was walking around with a friend and I was picking out girls whose figure I admired and eventually saw a reflection of "this girl" in a shop window and I said, "I want to get as thin as her." And my friend laughed and said, "Phyllis, look up at that girl's face. It's you!" LOL
I was stunned...and thrilled. I'm sure that you look considerably thinner than YOU think you do. Remember, you've been losing this over time and you don't recognize the changes in your body. So find a picture of your heavier self and take a new picture of yourself now and I think you'll be stunned by how much thinner you really look. And, yes, by all means, go out and buy yourself a new outfit that accentuates your diminishing curves.

I was just telling my consultant last week that I have never actually seen a fat person in the mirror until now. I've lost 40 pounds in four months, and I notice every thing that is wrong with me now. So my consultant's advice was to stop looking in the mirror and focus on the positives.
My boyfriend took down all the mirrors in our place except for in the bathoom where you can't see full body. He even suggested taking my fattest picture and putting it on my desktop. I did that as well. Now when I turn on my computer I see a body that doesn't belong to me and realize that I have had some major changes. Sometimes I just need a push to see what everyone else sees.
