Shallow but inspirational thought this morning

So I was on the train thinking about what I would wear to an outdoor show we are going to with a bunch of other couples this weekend when it occurred to me: When I was skinny, I would throw on a pair of low rider jeans, a cute tank and flip flops and I would look sexy. Now, if I wear jeans, a tank, and flip flops --- I just look sloppy, lazy and unkept.

I cannot wait till I just just throw something on and look good...it seems so far away, but I guess this will get me there? Right???

While it may be true that you don't have to take as much care when you're thinner to look good, until you get there I found that taking the care to buy the right type of clothes for your body the way it looks now can still make it easy to throw on something and look good. Maybe not the tight jeans and tank top, but something equally effortless.

In any event, you'll get back to the jeans, tanks and flip-flops soon. :)

You will get there! (Me too!) Just use this as your motivational pick-me-up if you ever need an extra boost to your willpower.

I have spent too many years window shopping looking at all the cute tiny dresses I thought I would never fit into. The thought of a new wardrobe, and how I might feel in it, is one of the many things that keep me going.

HI,

I have only told one person that I am on Jenny Craig (as I "failed" on some many others). now that person is teasing me about getting back into a bikini. I was overweight or obese all my life, a bikini is not what I am going to wear at age 50 (what I will be next May). But I saw this wonderful beaded evening gown the other day (and it was in a consignment shop). Tempting...

May we each get to wear what we want.
