I just started JC on 7/26 & have been having a rough time with hunger. I'm on a 1200 calorie diet & haven't swayed from the meal plan they set for me but the hunger pains are driving me crazy. I am eating my free foods and that helps for a little bit but then it's back to being hungry again. Is there anyone else that has had this problem? If so, please tell me it gets better. smile.gif

Welcome and congratulations on starting! I remember having those same pains. I suggest eating some of the free veggies and volumizing you meals with more free veggies. Things like zucchini, eggplant, greens, carrots, tomatoes, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, cabbage and Brussel sprouts. You can eat as much as you need to feel full. Eventually you will need less and less or at least I did. But every once in a while, like today for instance I needed something more and I ate a beautiful yellow tomato right off the vine and it is on plan!

As for the volumizing I try to add things that go with my meal. For example, if I am having something like cashew chicken, I would add a bag of frozen stir fry mixed vegetables or some fresh broccoli. If I am having something Italian like pasta I love adding zucchini cut into noodles with a veggie peeler and quickly cooked in a tsp of olive oil. It's like adding extra noodles for only a few calories.

Another thing I do is drink more water, or tea, or coffee. whatever you like to drink that is on plan. I seem to always have a glass of something near me. Before I eat I always drink!

Try reading the section of your book on volumizing. And Good Luck!

Just stopped by to say hi and welcome to the club...don't worry, just follow the program as they tell you and it will all work out. The hunger pains won't be so bad as your body adjusts to the new diet. In no time you will actually start feeling better as the weight falls off!!

Good luck to you and post often!!
