So, I just finished week 6 on JC at home. I'm doing well - down 12.4 lbs smile.gif However, last week, when I had my biggest loss to date, I missed my call b/c I had guests over. The next day I called Jenny Cares and asked if I could do my consult. They said someone would call me that evening. Well, I waited and waited and no one ever called me! I was SO disappointed. I really wanted to brag about my big loss, and I didn't get the chance.

Also, my JCC never talked to me about planning a personalized menu. She just had me tell her which foods I didn't want to get anymore. As a result, I ended up with sweet snacks for nearly every day. In my 2 week shipment I received one popcorn and one bruschetta chips and all the rest of the snacks are cookies, cakes, and snack bars. WTF? I'm really disappointed and annoyed.

When I talk to her tonight, if she calls, I'm going to tell her I'm switching to the centers. I'll save on shipping costs and hopefully get someone who is more interested in actually helping me instead of just getting thru her script each week.

McMommy, congratulations on your 12+ loss. You're doing great. I'm sorry you feel you had a bad experience JCD. I did the JCD program as well when I started two years ago.

I'm sorry the consultant didn't call you back on the appointed makeup call night. That did happen to me once and then I realized it was me who missed the initial appointment so I had to assume at least half the blame. I just called the next day and got it set back up with a specific time so I was sure to be available.

As for your order, the consultant did seem to fulfill your request for the foods you didn't like, but I'm not sure how she would have determined that you didn't want all sweet snacks if you didn't specifically say so. If you did, then yes, that was in error. Do you remember teling her which snacks you wanted? If so, tell her at the next call, and if you didn't, then write that down so you remember when you next speak with her.

If I had the chance to drive to a center I would have initially, too--just to save the $$ in shipping, but that was not an option for me. Glad you have that option and if doesn't inconvenience you, by all means, go for it. Either way, you WILL be successful if you continue to embrace the program. Don't get discouraged! Use this as a learning opportunity in how much YOU have to control your participation in the program. Hang in there, girl, you're doing just fine.
50+ pound weight loss and into maintenance. It's been an exciting road and well worth the effort.

Baby B - I agree that I am partly to blame for having missed my initial consult. And I am glad I have the option of going to a center. I think I'm just realizing that the phone consults are not for me. I don't really get anything out of them, and I do feel that my JCC isn't all that interested in her job. For me, I think a face-to-face meeting may work better.
And I am definitely happy with my loss so far, so I guess I don't have TOO much to complain about.

Good for YOU! A face-to-face consult would be my preference, too. So glad you have that option. You're going to continue to do well. Good to hear all will end well.

See ya on the boards.
