I don't know if any of you have had this situation arise but it has bothered me since yesterday(Thursday). I've been with Jenny Craig since September of last year and have had great success . Now I'm down to loosing the last six pounds and it has been a struggle. Thursday was almost the last straw and I have been at the crossroads of either stopping or continuing my goal. I go to the Jenny Craig Center in Vestal New York because it is closer to where I live. Now on Thursday 7/28/2011 my regular counselor was not there , so Counselor M took over the session, if I knew then what I know now ,I would have rescheduled . I gained a pound and all she could say was you're gaining muscle . No Kidding . My last session with my regular counselor we had talked of chainging my excercise routine to trick my body and recharge my metabolisim. I was taking one martial arts class , now I'm taking another form of martial art class. I'm at the dojo 4 times a day an hour each. The other class I started a couple weeks ago so it was too soon to see results. I also was doing a Wii program and now I need a new exercise program to combine with what I doing now. Counselor M didn't really have an interest partly because I wasn't her regular client . All she could say to me was lets get your meal plan going because I have other clients to see. She put me on this 1200 calorie one day then 1500 calorie plan . I tried to explain that my counselor V had talked to me about this but in her opinion we weren't there yet. My counselor V is great she knows me and she has a way of explaining to me what my body is acutally doing. I don't feel rushed or feel like I'm taking up too much time. I'm way past my halfway mark and I'm enjoying the results. I've cut back on some of the snacks and have added my dressings to my plan with the advice of my regular counselor. I don't know how I'm going to tell my regular counselor what happened. Fellow Jenny Craig members I need your help and advice. I've come a long way and I don't want to have one person blow this goal for me. sad.gif

Were this me, I'd stick with the plan that my last counselor had me on, if you're going to meet with him/her next week. One week won't derail you. If you are not happy with the recent counselor recommendations, don't take them; go with what you're used to doing until you get back to the person you trust most.

If you want to let your regular counselor know that you got less than stellar advice from the "sub", do so and do it kindly. Don't let one bad session get you down. You've done marvelously.
50+ pound weight loss and into maintenance. It's been an exciting road and well worth the effort.

Here's to weight loss and a new life!

I had a bad experience with a substitute counselor also. Despite losing weight every week on the program, he told me that I was not "fully committed" and was not going to ultimately be successful because I eat at a restaurant 2-3 times per week (usually for work). I am not sure if he expected me to quit my job or what. The guy was a moron. I am going to make sure he doesn't call me again. Normally my JCC is very encouraging but this guy today had me feeling I should just quit now.

I had a sub JCC last night, and she kicked my but. She looked at my history and said... you haven't really lost anything in 4 weeks.... why are you doing this? I felt like she was telling me that I was wasting my money... but then we got into talking about why things weren't going right and how I should reevaluate why I want to loose the weight. It was way better than my other JCC who rushes me in and out, telling me I did great when I lost nothing. I switched to her next week. The fear of not loosing is keeping me on track :P I obviously needed a kick and she was able to give it to me.
