It's week 6 I get weighed in tonight and will let ya'll know tomorrow. But week 5 I had not even hit 10 lbs yet! This is tough! My counselor says it's harder to loose as a Senior. Is that true or just to get me to keep going? Hmmm.. I haven't been as good as I'd like to especially with exercising but definately not as bad as I thought I would be. I mean really, I may not eat all my veggies ~ must stem from the 'eat all those veggies!' when I was a kid ~ I do eat lots of fruit so thought that would make up for the lack of veggies, or maybe a bread w/my mean is the calories equal to the veggies.. geeze

NEW INCENTIVE I'm going on vacation in December, Florida, and want all this gone! 20 lbs in 5 months should be a snap ya think

Hi Laura,

I'm over 60 and this is my 5th week on Jenny and have lost 8 lbs. so far. I'm pretty happy with that. I've tried WW and didn't lose at a faster rate. You should do fine and lose your 20 lbs in time for Florida. Have fun!

Sorry, ladies, but it's a fact of life. The older we get, the slower we lose.

But are sticking STRICTLY to the plan? I mean are you sure you're eating every 2-3 hours? Are you drinking a MINIMUM of a half gallon of water a day? Are you watching your sodium? Are you exercising?

Between menopause and perimenopause and our ages, yes, it tends to come off in ounces, not pounds. But EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, a pound or more will come off. :)

Hang in there. If you're doing everything you're supposed to be doing it will come off. And the slower it comes off, the longer you have to learn new eating habits and the more likely you will be to keep it off.

BTW, I'm in Florida and we love you snowbirds. :D

Let us have an update when you can.

Don't give up, you will lose the weight...even if it takes a bit! I did the same thing, I was eating cherries at every meal. I went on this mega cherry kick. I was not losing. I went to the cherries for breakfast only and ate veggies at the other meals and I started losing...
