Everyone is supposed to add half a meat serving? I am on the 1200 calorie plan, and I did not know I was supposed to add a meat. I read on here the same for the baked potato. I thought you only added extra stuff if you were on the higher calorie plan. I am having the mac and cheese tonight and would love to add some tuna. I hope this is right!

the only reason I know about adding the 1/2 meat is it says so on the menu of foods.I personally dont add anything to any dishes and I never have the 1tsb margarine for my dinners. I have been told that can be a slice of bread with some butter or a slice of apple with peanut butter. I have been getting hungrier A LOT lately so maybe its time I incorporate the fats and limited stuff I can have. What do you guys have for 1 tsb of margerine? Couple of days are 2 tsbs

You only add the meat if you are on the personalized menu plan...if you are on the planned menu the meat serving has already been calculated into your menu.....this is what a jcc informed me.

GreekLamb- as for the 1 tsp of margarine, I use 2 tsp of Peanut Butter and put it on celery sticks. I have also used avocado with my Chicken Fajitas (but 1/8 of an avocado is pretty small slice). Every once in a while I will use 1 tsp of butter to add to my roasted cabbage. I put the cabbage in the baking dish that came with my George Foreman grill and smear the butter over the top--I know it seems like very little, but just that small amount really flavors the cabbage. I have also used light cream cheese (garden vegetable) because you get 2 tablespoons. I smear that on celery too.
Once--I drank chocolate milk for my milk (it counts as a milk and a fat).
There are quite a few options for fats listed in the Pocket Guide that my consultant gave me.
