I just started JC this week. On the mac & cheese it says to add 1/2 a meat serving. What do you normally add to this dish? I'm thinking of grilling up a 98% fat free burger, cutting it in half and throwing half of it into the mac and cheese. Besides ground beef I don't know what other meat will go well with it. Thanks in advance smile.gif

Heyy,
I just had this last night. I put girlled chicken in mine and then put Franks red hot sauce but the buuffalo flavor. It taste like Buffalo Mac & Cheese. I am not sure if you have ever had that before, they usually do friend chicken but thats fattening. Its really good and a different flavor!! smile.gif

I also add tuna to the Mac & Cheese, I think that makes it really filling!

As far as adding half a burger, I think that might be too much meat. Think about how much meat is in the regular meat dishes. It's only a few strips of grilled chicken. Double-check with your consultant on that one.

I love the idea of the buffalo chicken mac and the hot dogs. I also eat mine with a half a fish filet. Canned salmon and tuna are also great. Or even some sliced ham works well.

Enjoy!

I'm doing the planned menu and I just drain a can of crushed tomatoes and cook everything in a small pot on the stove. Might toss a few crushed dried red peppers in there for 'heat'.

I'm gonna add to that. I add a can of the spicy tomatoes that I would normally use for chili. Get the ones with the green chilies. Yum!!!

Mysterya, I'm right there with you! I didn't even realize we were supossed to add a meat. I figured we ate the meals as they were and added veggies. I love the tuna idea. I used to make macaroni and cheese with tuna and peas all the time, even the kids loved it!
