Going to WDW with grandkids, I know I can bring the chicken kits, but for 7day that could get old, I was going to bring my snacks & use the microwave for some of the ready made meals when not at the parks. Also they make good steamed veggie burgers & will add fruit or vegetables as a side, but that is a lot of meals out. Has anyone else done this while on the program? And do you have any good suggestions on what would keep me on the 1200 calories a day. I know I will be walking up to 8-9 miles a day, I always wear a pedometer so exercise will not be a problem. Thanks for any help.

It sounds like you have a good strategy already. Yes 7 days is a long time and you will have a lot of JC food to carry...could stock up on boullion soups and drink them cold with a little tomatoe juice. Salsa and lots of celery, carrot and zucchinni sticks. Salads of course are an option with grilled chicken or fish. Walking as much as you will be doing should be a big plus. If you are eating out for most meals, can you split some with another person to keep portions under control? That is my biggest challenge. Could you ask for double portions of allowable veggies instead of potatoe or rice? Most restaurants are pretty flexible. Best of luck to you - Sounds like you will be able to drop some weight from the exercise.

Thanks that is a good idea with the salsa for bringing, I have a relative that said she would split with me, great idea and thanks. I am only in my 3rd week so this is going to be difficult.

I find in these situations it helps not to set your weight loss goal to high. I would make my goal just not to gain any weight back and not worry about losing. This way you have a little more flexibility and you are less likely to just give up if you run into to many obstacles. I might allow myself 1 or 2 special meals(within limits) and 1 or 2 special desserts to help me not get frustrated, and still feel like I am enjoying my vacation. I have done this with success and even lost weight!
