How do you watch what you're eating at all these special events leading up to the wedding?!

My wedding is in September and I've been on JC since February. I've lost 35lbs (yay!) but I've slowly started to decline in my weight loss every week. I've gone from losing an average of 2-3 lbs per week to 0.5 lbs or less a week. I know it's obviously going to be faster weight loss during the beginning of the program but I'm getting frustrated that I haven't been doing as well even though I'm working out more than I was before.

With that said, all of these special events are coming up and I don't know how to handle all the food. I have a tasting this week with my caterer, my bridal shower is in a few weeks, my bachelorette party shortly after that, the rehearsal dinner and then the wedding! I have to eat at these events but with my weight loss rate being as slow as it is I'm afraid I'm going to gain weight! I'm not saying I'm just going to start binge eating at these places but I'm not going to avoid eating either! I know I'm also going to drink at my bachelorette party and that probably won't help with the weight loss either but these are very huge once in a lifetime events that I don't want to miss out on! I don't want to look back and say I didn't have fun because I was too catious of what I was eating or drinking.

Can anybody relate to this? Please send some advice my way! I really need it sad.gif

I totally know how you feel! I have been feeling the same way! I think what I have decided to do is just add in more activity. I know its crunch time and exercising helps me relieve stress. My wedding is in September too when is yours?

I agree that these are big events and not something that you really need to worry about diet on but don't go overboard either. For example, I have decided that at my bachelorette party I am going to alternate between water &/or diet coke and whatever drink I am having. Also, it is better to have wine (if you like it) or liquor without all the sugary mixes - however I have decided I am going to enjoy my cranberry and vodka because it helps keep my kidneys working right lol biggrin.gif

Hope this helps. Enjoy every moment! I know you are super excited!

Try to remember portion control. Drink lots of water and exercise. You will be just fine.

My wedding is the 17th. It's coming up fast!

My consultant actually told me stay away from wine because of the sugar in it. So I'm sticking to rum or vodka and diet coke. It is crunch time and I guess I'll just up my exercise levels to balance it out. I really just want to remember and enjoy every second of this experience smile.gif.

Thanks! Congratulations on your wedding too!
