8.6 lbs is FABULOUS!!!! That is motivating enough to keep going...

Hang in there, I bet you arent REALLY hungry...just empty. You will feel empty for a short while, but you are definately getting enough. We were so used to filling up and being TOO full, so its going to take a while to retrain your brain.

Just keep remembering where you want to be to keep that motivation. You are doing awesome!!!!!

So were you able to hang on or did you start eating off plan again? 8.6 pounds is a lot to lose in one week. Way to go!

I just finished my first week too. Lost four pounds and I really haven't felt hungry or had any serious cravings. Loving the food and the support:)

I am finishing up my first week also. I haven't weighed in yet but have lost 4 lbs according to my scales. I feel a little empty at times also but know it is probably just because I am not gorging anymore. I am eating a lot of vegetables which is creating its own challenges. I just need someone to talk to in order to stay on the plan. Hence, the forum. Dieting always seems to be such a lonely road. But the reality is that most of the nation is dieting at one time or another.

I am just in Week too and feeling a little depressed....the weight slid off in the first week which I know is usual, however this week there isn't a lot of change....I am doing everything I am suppose to. I know I have a long road ahead of me and I think that is why I am feeling a little down...I have 60 lbs, to lose, and lost 6 last week. Any helpful hints?

I feel your disappointment, but remember that every week you wont lose.....there may even be weeks you gain a tad.....its not easy trying to figure out the body, it will do crazy things when you change up its routine. Before long you will adjust and start seeing better and more consistent results.

Also, I know you have heard it before but go for 10 lb goals...it is much more attainable and less overwhelming than looking at the big picture. After each 10 you lose, reward yourself with a non-food gift, like earrings, some funky new nail polish, mani or pedi, a new motivational book or workout dvd, some yummy gourmet tea, your fav candle....anything to make YOU feel good about yourself.....it really helps make your journey a smoother and more enjoyable trip.

Thank you "Blessed"....you certainly blessed my morning. I have to start thinking in 10 pound increments and not the whole 60 lbs. I weigh in tomorrow and it seems at this point that there is no loss this week....but I will keep pushing forward.....
