I've made it to Yetna Station and haven't seen or heard anyone on my travels. This is a a very quiet challenge - I can only guess everyone is nose to the grindstone trying to meet the Thanksgiving deadline. Myself personally, no where near meeting the daily targets, might have to switch it to a New Years Eve deadline lol

I had a small NSV and thought I should share. I actually put on a belt!!! Sounds silly but its a big deal to me. The other NSV that expect to be celebrating soon... My BMI is almost out of obese (into overweight) ... Yay!
I will be watching for you at Skwenta!!!

Congratulations! That is awesome!
Sorry everyone that I have been out of touch. As you may be able to tell by my lack of steps - things have been a bit crazy. I have been working 12 hour days for the last two weeks and trying to figure out what I am allergic to. The good news is I have found out that I am not allergic to wheat (yeah!) -- the bad news is that I am allergic to JC food (boo!!!). There is some additive in the food that my body rejects. But my JC counselor said I could keep coming in for weigh ins and support and I am trying to stick to salad, veg, fruit and lean protein. I go to a work training next week that includes mandatory daily exercise (seriously) so I hope to get back on track and make up some steps next week. Good luck to all!

Hope you are all enjoying these last few weeks of summer
Just an update, as of last night I've made it to Finger Lake. The next leg is fairly short (just 60K steps) so hoping to make it there my next weekend
Have a great week!

I made it to Rainy Pass on the weekend, we've had company visiting from another province so I haven't been on the boards much. Cine, they revamped them a few weeks ago, tickers, avatars, photos, signatures all got a little messed up but the boards are a little easier to navigate now and have some pretty cool features, like when you click on a topic you've already read it will automatically navigate to the most recent update so you don't have to scroll through everything again.
I finished a 10K hike on Thursday and it felt great! No mistake, I was sore, but it felt so good to get out there and tackle the hills and terrain rather then using my treadmill all the time.
I'm leaving a week from Friday to visit family on the other side of the country and they have some gorgeous walking trails nearby that I plan to explore. Then I am home for a week and off to Disney for 9 days
Hope everyone is enjoying there last few weeks of summer, getting in their activity and sticking to the program - we'll treat ourselves to new outfits for New Years Eve!

I have been MIA most of the summer, I know. It's confession time: I have had a VERY stressful couple of months at work not knowing whether my job was going to continue or if I would be displaced. My company is going through a lot of reorganization and I have been a potential position that could be eliminated. I only have another 2 weeks to wait for my fate, but it is starting to feel like I am going to be safe. I have been so stressed that I haven't focused on any Jenny Craig at all. I stopped tracking, stopped wearing my armband, and have only been doing the JC food about 1/3 of the time.
Needless to say, I have gained back some weight. Although I have been trying to exercise occasionally, that has been my only saving grace. All summer, I have been fluxuating within a 5 pound range, up and down, up and down. It's been really hard.
I did go to my JC appt today. I am at 230.4. I am recommitting myself as of today. ALthough my BodyMedia account has expired, I'm going to try to find one of my old pedometers and see if I can get that working. I'm going to track my food and try to stay on plan. With the weather getting nicer here, I am starting to walk the dogs again.
So with that being said, I hope I didn't let anyone down by leaving the boards for awhile. It is good to see that you all kept going without me - I am SO PROUD of all of you! I may not be able to complete this challenge by end of year, but it doesn't mean I can't start now and see how far I can go, right?
I look forward to connecting with you all again! I've missed you. I just couldn't face coming here for a long time because I knew I was totally cheating and letting myself and you down.
But I'm BACK!!!
