Hi i just rejoined after 2 yrs. I love the food i just need to volumize some of the food and change it up a bit. One lady gave a great recipe on changing the fajitas to Quesadilla yumm!

I'm have the cheese ziti tonight. I'm thinking of adding zuccini and squash to it.

What do you do to volumize JC food or change it up a bit. I need ideas.

Thanks!

For the pasta dishes I add lots of veggies sauteed in pam spray. For the Fish, Steak/Meatloaf, Turkey dishes I add brussel sprouts to volumize. For the Rising Crust Pizza I add mushrooms, broc, red peppers.

Hope this helps.

Yes, if you click on the food heading, there is a tab at the top that says recipes. These give you lots of ideas for meals on your own. I have tried several that are very good.

In addition to that, there's an additional book that they sell called "Creative Recipes". It's all about how to volumize & change up the Jenny foods. I ordered mine and should get it next week... I can't wait to try some of the things in it!

I have that one, and the previous version of it. There are alot of great ideas for when you start to tire of the same old thing.

I use about 3/4 a bag of steamfresh broccoli and add it to my chicken fettucini and add about 1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepper.

To the turkey burger I carmelize onions and put them on the burger!

I volumize the rising crust pizza with mushroom, onion and pepper (that's what I'm having tonight)

I also add steamfresh brococoli to the broccoli and cheese stuffed potato for extra volume and deliciousness!!!

My JCC had a great idea. Put the cashew chicken in lettuce leaves and they taste similar to a lettuce wrap. While my meal was in the microwave, I diced and sautéed green onions and mushrooms. Once the meal was cooked, I diced up the larger veggies in the tray then added it all to the skillet. Stir everything together, then wrap. I added some low sodium soy sauce for extra flavor. It made 3 delicious wraps!

For JC Spaghetti, take one spaghetti squash and cut into length wise. Scoop out the seeds. Cover with wax paper and microwave on high for 12 minutes. When the squash is done, take a fork and shred the pulp. It has the consistency of angel hair pasta. Mix it with your JC spaghetti to volumize your "pasta". I got the receipe from the Biggest Loser web site. You can add a tablespoon or so of a low fat spaghetti sauce too. Very filling.

I microwave my chicken from my chicken sandwich, cut it up and throw it into my salad. I add tomatoes and other fresh veggies along with my light ranch dressing. Sometimes I'll throw in 1/4 c. raisins too. Then I use parkay light margarine and butter the buns, add garlic and pop them in my toaster oven for a side of garlic bread. VERY yummy!!
