I finally went to my first social event this sunday and I was tested. I had gone in for my third weight in and lost 7 pounds feeling on top of the world, I looked and felt great. As I saw the food on there sternals warming up, all the yummy spanish dishes that got me into this mess. I stepped back and told myself non of this food is worth how im starting to finally feel about myself. So no matter how hard it was , I only ate the veggies. Stacked them mile high, and ate. I had tons of water ,and chewed gum. I came home and was so proud of myself, because I did it. I have self control. I can do it !

Sometimes these challenges come, and it's a great way to test yourself to see what you made off. The food is never the enemy. It's made out of love and hard work. The real enemy is lack of self control. Keep yourself busy, be creative, and try difference ideas to get you though the hunger. Never forget how far you've come !

Good for you girl! Doesnt it feel liberating when you can walk away? Being proud of yourself and showing willpower is PRICELESS indeed!!!!!!!

Great job! That is exactly the right attitude. Nothing feels better than losing weight in the face of temptation. Most of the foods offered are NOT worth the message you give yourself. You know yourself, you are NOT hungry - you are empty. You just need to stave off the urge to eat those things. I will admit there are times you get REALLY empty, and you need to eat something to keep your blood sugar level, but it doesn't have to be a plateful of rice and beans!
