So, I went out for Indian food on Saturday. I was pleased that I only went to the buffet once (reasonable amount, but more than my regular jc meals....I won't lie...) and only had one small dessert. This was my lunch and dinner (Only had my jc breakfast and snack bar that day). Today is Wednesday, and I am still up 3 pounds. What gives??? Weigh in tomorrow and I am so scared to face that scale with my consultant. She is great, but disappointed in myself. Does this happen to anyone else after eating out? I am down almost 40 pounds, and now this has me sooooo discouraged:( I thought I drank enough water to flush out all the salt, and it should be out of me by now....HELP!!!

Borkins - you are likely just retaining water from eating more than your usual sodium intake. Get your head set to see the gain, white knuckle through your consult, and be ready to see the gain go away NEXT week.

This is one reason Jenny discourages eating out. You made that one meal most of your entire day's food, which is how some of us got here in the first place. I'm not saying you can't go out for Indian food. You just need to eat it with a plan for the rest of the day. Have much smaller portions, skip the dessert, and have a Jenny entree for dinner with veggies. This does two things: it evens out your blood sugar and it gets your brain back on program.

Don't be discouraged - you are doing GREAT!!
