I rejoined on Thursday. I will use this site as my blog and I need help and support from all of you!
I am excited this is day two and okay so far.. HUNGRY but trying to keep myself busy. My JC consultant is nice she did say it will take me a couple weeks to get used to it. Somehow I got one who is not very young and one who has lost quiet a bit of weight herself. THAT is unusual.

I have a major fear I'm going to fail. I needed to say that because I have that fear and I don't want it.
Okay back to painting blink.gif
thanks for listening

oh, how do I post one of those ticker factory things?

Hello Laura...I just re-joined today after ignoring the program and my health for five years. I'm anxious to get started with the MM armband thingy which I will pick up on Wednesday. I asked for an older counselor, and luckily, the center manager is about my age and has lost over 150 pounds on the program. She offered to be my counselor if she didn't have new clients to see, and I'm happy about that. Very nice of her. It's nice to have a message board where there are other the same age group. We'll have to keep each other motivated...deal?

Welcome Laura and yogagal! I am living proof that you can take it off after 60. I lost the majority of this weight when I was in my late 50s, but came back in September after I retired to lose some of the weight I gained back. Well, I am happy to report that I am at my initial goal, and I plan to maintain for most of the summer. In September, I will push to get off the 15 pounds I never lost before.

You can both do it! I won't lie - it takes longer when you are our age, but it is so worth it!

LOVE, JILL
Started 1/5/04 - weighed 282.8
5/24/04 - 216.2 HALFWAY!
5/21/05 - 164.6

Fresh Start 9/6/2010 - 205.8 Goal: 170 (being realistic)
April 4, 2011 - 170 GOAL!!!!!

Hi everyone -

I'm new here and need some support also smile.gif This is my first time with JC and lost 3.9 lbs the first week. I'm trying to stay positive and recognize that this may be a slow process. I've gained so much weight in the last 5 years that I could hardly believe the scale when I got on it. I'm trying to figure out what I did (or didn't do) to let my weight get so high and all I can figure out is that I haven't paid attention to taking care of myself. I need to change from being an emotional eater to being a mindful eater and get back to being more active. I guess I finally decided to do something about it because I got tired of having to buy new clothes for work each year because they no longer fit! Can't even count the number of skirts and suits hanging in my closet that are too small!
I hope we can keep each other on track. I look forward to checking in regularly!

Jane
