Where do you all find your work out clothes?

What brand(s) do you like best?

I am especially interested to know what sports bra do you use for high impact (running) activity? (I am having a hard time finding a good one for my girls! And I am not that busty, but I can't stand them moving around...pain!)

Thanks for your help!

I like Danskin from JcPenny. They have affordable workout wear, but yet durable/supportive. I believe Walmart carries Danskin as well, but Penny's is always running good sales.

I love Winners in Canada and it would be TJ MAXX in the US?. I have also heard that for a great Bra the Enell bra is wonderful. I just like anything that is comfortable and moves with me. I also really like some of the work out wear from old navy.

Hey, Melissa, how come you took that sweet grandson off your pictures? I especially loved the tux pic! Was he in a wedding or something?

Anyway, thanks for your responses, ladies!

My favorite sports bra is the Moving Comfort Fiona bra. I just dropped my bra size and bought 5 new ones to wear. I do have an enell bra, now it's too big. It was OK, just not my favorite. The enell bra was very expensive, $60 and the Fiona bra works just fine for me at $26 or so.

I usually wear the bike shorts or the shorts with spandex, they hug your thigh and your thighs don't rub together. You can also buy Glide, to put on your spots that rub together. I use it on my arms, sometimes when they rub on the shirt, it gets irritated. I wear just a tank top from Walmart for the summer.

I wear a belt that holds water, cell phone and snacks. I don't like to carry anything in my hands.

I wear a sweat band and a hat, especially now in the summer. My hat has a sweat band, but it's not enough in the summer, I need both.

I have an ipod and earbuds. I wear a Garmin that tracks time, mileage, pace, lots of fun info.

Wow, is that not enought to take just for a walk! Of course, my walks are 5+ miles.

I love Nike's Tempo running shorts or basketball shorts for elliptical workouts. When I'm at yoga, I wear Target's yoga pants.

I wear a Champion sport bra. I am not very "well endowed" either, but the Champion has a racerback and is a pull over, which I like. It keeps the "girls" from bouncing when I jog.

I am curious about this thread because I am finally stepping up to buy some workout clothes. Up until now, I have been wearing my baggy shorts. Well, the baggy shorts are WWWAAAAYYYY too baggy now! When I go on my next cruise this December (ahem!), I want to look fit instead of like an old lady in baggy clothes! HA!!

My favorite bras are Champion. They seem to contain me best when I do my highest impact Zumba classes. I have actually heard of some other Z instructors who wear two sports bras, if they are more busty than one can hold comfortably. Since I've lost 50 pounds, a lot of the girls took off, too. Now I just have to keep what's left from heading south!

My most comfy workout clothes are my Zumbawear, but I usually only wear that for my Z classes. The other workout clothes I have come from JC Penney's. Most of them. I LOVE their tops and have a couple pair of the pants. I have one Danskin top and like that as well, but my fav's for general workout are the Xerson from Penney's. So STYLISH, to boot!

I wash all my workout clothes inside out and throw them all in together once a week then hang them to dry. My workout clothes now have their own separate space in the closet because I have so many laugh.gif

My favorite shoes for Zumba are Nike Musiques. For walking, Reebook cross-trainers with the air pillows.

And my favorite piece of equipment is worn 24/7 -- my BodyBugg, now going on 83 weeks worth.
50+ pound weight loss and into maintenance. It's been an exciting road and well worth the effort.

Hey Ladies,

Great thread! I don't know how much or what kind of workouts you do, but I go hiking, running, train with a personal trainer and found that cheaper workout gear doesn't last that long with such wear and wash. All my workout pants are lululemon, they are more expensive (about $100) but in the long run its cheaper than having to replace my $20-30 pants avery 2 months or so.

It is a bunch of stuff to take, just for a walk.

The sweat band, hat and water is because it is so hot out. When I walk at 6 pm, it's still 90+ degrees out. My walks are 4-5.5 miles long, so I need that water! I try for 6-8 miles for my weekend walks

Garmin is just for fun, to see how far i've gone and if I need to make a detour to get more miles in.

Tammy

Hi everyone,

I have never heard of lulumon, Annie. Sounds great. Mine, I know, are cheaper, but I don't have any problems with them at all. The handwash cycle seems to treat them gently enough, and I wash them all inside out and hang dry. Have had them all for a couple years now with no signs of wear or tear. ANNNDDD, I throw darks in with whites--doesn't matter ohmy.gif I'll investigate your brand, too, as I love all workout clothes. Looking forward to hearing about others.
