Tina

If you don't care for your consultant get a new one! When I first joined I had a dud of a consultant and then I met another one due to a scheduling change. I changed consultants. What a difference! My consultant is warm, encouraging and just great to visit with. Stay with the plan and you will lose weight!

good luck!

Annie

Thanks Annie! I figured I would see how she was next Saturday and then go from there. If I still feel rushed or that she's not meeting my needs, I will definitely switch consultants. Day 1 went well - hope the rest of the week goes as well. Take care and thanks for the support. smile.gif

Hi Helen. Sounds like we have similar issues--re: the creeps that broke in during the night and somehow attached extra lbs to our bodies. I have several questions that my consultant hasn't answered for me. Am using the Body Media armband (love it!)...yet can't figure out how to input swimming--leaving that out really messes with my calories burned total. I gained 2 lbs the first week--how are you doing so far? Am hoping for better results this week--I've been committed (re: my ID) to the program.

Hi Everyone! My name is Helen and I started JC today I thought I would start a June newbies forum, hope you'll join me! I am looking to lose 25lbs, my weight has been creeping up over the past few years and I just want it gone! I am excited about trying the foods, I did read the forums before I ordered week 1's food so I knew what to avoid, thanks for the tips! Good luck to everyone, here's to a happy and healthy summer!

Hi Annie, hello everybody,
My Name is Maria, I have read your post and got very excited, hoping that I found a place where I could belong.
I am also a advanced member (lifetime) but also consider myself a June starter, I too have stopped and started.
I checked out the Weight loss Café blog, for a little while and the magic Notebook sounds so nice.
The 100 day challenge is really what I need, I do need support and want commitment and responsibility so bad
One thing has me worried, that your group may not want me, I am a 82 year old female, (still very active with many responsibilities people my age should no longer have to cope with) this accounts for my weight gain through stress eating. But this is only a part of my weight gain problem, the self-control and support is missing, some times I ask who really cares, and my age does not let me exercise any more the way I should, but I do my best.
I ask myself who cares? I answer myself that I need to, for the sake of my own health so I can continue what I do best caring for others who need me. I am very grateful God lets me continiue.
Well I am very anxiously waiting for a reply.

Wishing everyone great success and thank you for a reply.
Happy Sunday

Maria

I joined June 1st! I feel full, have definately experienced the gas, and don't even feel like eating all the veggies and snacks I am supposed to. I want to lose 20 lbs, then possibly another 10.

I've had a problem with bulemia for years and the reason I gained so much weight recently is due to binge eating. Really surprised that I'm so full and not hungry! My only craving so far has been to weigh myself. I'm used to weighing myself 3 or 4 times daily. My boyfriend got rid of the scale so I can't weigh myself till my actual weigh-in at JC! It is day 5 and I feel like my clothes are a little tiny bit looser, and I have been a little more physically active than my norm.

Really nervous and excited for the weigh in on Tuesday!

Just finished my first week! So techincally I guess that makes me a MAY newbie but hey!
So far so good! Lost 2lbs at my first weigh in and I was only 4 days into the program! (They weighed me when i signed up but i didn't start the food til the monday)....
so far so good i suppose!
I'm a vegetarian and I'm finding the food not so bad...lunches suck so i try to keep myself from having the same lunch 2 days in a row....
Only a trial 6 month member but I'm hoping I drop 50lbs!

Hi Barbara,
I'm doing the center, pre-planned meals. It's a lot easier for me to follow something rather than trying to do everything on my own. You sound like my husband as far as veggies go. He gags watching me eat them. I feel for you because that it a huge part of keeping full and having "free" foods.

My daughter and I have our first weigh in tomorrow evening. I didn't realize they measure you - gag!

The water part is hard. I have to drink 84oz a day! I think I've been drinking maybe 1/2 that amount so I feel your pain.

I will write you on your personal email tomorrow after my weigh in. Let me know how yours went! My email is pozer84@mac.com

-jennifer

Hi, Jennifer:

I am doing OK. hate vegetsables and they literally make me gag. I did NutriSystem once-- food hideaous. This food is much better. The portions are SMALL!! No wonder I am the size I am. Good for your daughter!
how nice that you both have someone at home to support you. So far my veggie recipes are on paper, not food. I am going to try and make 3 of them this weekend so I have them for the week. I think cooked vegetables go down better than raw. I don't eat alot at any one time a day-- I am a grazer-- I eat all day every day. Chocolate. Anything chocolate. I have been addicted to ghiradelli brownies. Ate in huge amounts! I miss them. I am bad about water. I drink a couple of Dunkin'Donut iced coffees a day. Idrink way too much Diet Coke. Trying to add 1 more water each day. Up tp 4. Although I have not had any today.

I think we did start on the same day-- June 1. Are you following the pre- planned menu or did you choose your own JC food? When is your first weigh in? Or are you doing the at- home plan? I am going to the center
tomorrow for photos and measurements. Not looking forward to it. I have to admit it has taken me starting this program to really recognize that I am huge. It's been an awakening. I only hope I have the will to follow the program to the end.

Hope you are doing well. If you would like to correspond directly, my e- mail is berryphila@verizon.net.

Thanks for this info, I just checked out the site and am going to do it myself.

Jennifer, If you're having a hard time drinking water you might like the water I've been making. I fill a pitcher with water and add sliced, peeled cucumber slices, lemon slices and some mint leaves and let it steep in the fridge overnight. To me it tastes a lot better than plain water.

On day 7 and going for my first official weigh-in shortly. This weekend was tough, two pool parties but when everyone else was enjoying their fatty cheeseburgers, I was munching on my healthy JC slider - yummy!! The food really is pretty good, well, except for the oatmeal breakfast square - NASTY!!

Rohnert Park California Check'in in!
rolleyes.gif Hello All! Day 7 today for this California Man! I am very excited to be going to weigh in today. I am diabetic, and in this (my first week), I have effectively STABILIZED my "Out of control" Blood Sugar levels. Averaging between 200-300 am fasting readings, I am now down to a 130 or so average, AND I have cut my insulin in half (while maintaining safe levels). I tested more this week than I have in years in order to be aware of what the program is doing for me. Bottom Line: I feel better with my improving blood sugar levels. Also, I think I have lost some weight and general volume, so to speak. Stay tuned!
Tomorrow is Promised to no one.

Welcome Jeff! Try brushing your teeth after your last meal, when I have a minty taste in my mouth I am less likely to snack. Worth a try!!

Hi, I'm Sarah and my first appointment is tomorrow. I have lots to lose as well, Barbara, and I too am looking to get below 200. I can't believe that I'm over that. Heck, I can't believe that I got anywhere close to it. I'm disgusted with myself and the lack of self control that got me to this place. I'm hoping that JC will be just what I need to jump start my weight loss and restore my confidence.

I did try weight watchers, but its just too much work on the side. I have enough to do without all those little things added to my day. While I really do like to cook I think that a jump start is a great idea and having food already in portions and ready to go I think will help. I hope so. I don't know what else to do at this point.

Hi, Sarah--

Welcome to JC. I have my first weigh- in tomorrow evening and I am nervous. I haven't been on the scale since they weighed me in last week. I have no idea how I am doing. Just keep telling yoursel 200 is just a number. I am trting to go in blocks of 10 lbs. For every 10 lbs I will do something nice for myself. Like a facial or spa pedicure or something. I agree about Weight Watchers-- just too much to do and I once ate all my points in chocolate fudge bars! I have 2 stumbling blocks-- not drinking enoughwater and I hate vegetables. If you, or ANYONE, has good ways to cook vegetables, I could really use some help!!!

Let's do this together. I find this website cumbersome to negotiate. If you agree, feel free to reach me at berryphila@verizon.net. I look forward to communicating with you through our journey.

Barbara

Hello Friends....

My name is Carol (GrandmaX3) I started Jenny 2 days ago..I am so excited for this journey! My goal is to loose 34 lbs. I tried every diet know to man and after that back in 2001 I had a Gastric Bypass. I just couldn't do it alone anymore! I lost over 100 lbs..Yay! The only problem was..they never taught me "HOW" to eat! The weight just started coming back little by little..I do NOT want to go back to the old me! I am so ready to tackle this the "Right Way" I walk every day and the food is (so far) really good! I drink way to much diet pepsi (12 a day) and I am cutting back on that..slowly! I know I will find those happy times again and this is a life style and not a quick fix....

Carol

First weigh in today. Was hoping for at least 3 lbs but lost 2.4. I realize I did not put it on overnight and I cannot expect it to come off overnight. I feel better and thats what is important. B)Weight Loss Center - Your Online Diet Support Group
