After my first day, I realized my hardest point hit at night when I realized I couldn't eat anymore. Not that I eat at night but knowing that I had something to stick to sort of sucked. When I started to get that edge, I drank a glass of water and walked the dog and that seemed to help.
How is it going for you???

I am just wrapping up my first week on JC, started on Friday May 27th. I know call me crazy for picking a holiday weekend to start the journey. I did and I successfully road through the weekend.
I have 60lbs to lose, and am a first time JC'r. I have to say each day has been interesting to say the least food wise. I am a pretty picky eater so I have had each meal with apprehension. I have to say for the most part only 2 things only my menu this week will not be repeated. I have been surprised at how good some of the meals have been
Would love to be part of a group doing this together, I have a long road ahead of me and would love to have a group for support, ideas and suggestions.

Hi, Jennifer-- thanks for supporting me. this is my first time on JC and on Day 2 I am doing OK. Weird thing happened yesterday while eating dinner (mesquite chicken). I got so sick to my stomach. I think it might have been the Anytime bar I had about 4:00. I read somewhere that they can be very harsh; will not eat that again. finding the meals pretty tasty, but WOW the portions are small. Not a big vegetable eater, but really going to make an effort. I've downloeaded several intersaeting vegetable recipes that I am going to try. that and the exercsie seem to be the real key.
enough about me-- how long have you been doing the program and how is it going? Are there any foods I should stay away from (other than the bars)? have you found something htat works for you? Hope all is well. Look forward to hearing from you--

Today is my 3rd day so it sounds like we started on the same day. I read in the posts that the anytime bars give a lot of people gas so maybe that is what upset your stomach. My teenage daughter is also doing the JC program and I asked her about it and she said she was gassy to. I've been great on the bars and the only thing I'm doing different from my daughter and probably most people on JC is that I'm drinking raw milk so that might help eliminate the gas effect from the bars. The veggie part might also be upsetting your stomach as well and it's a lot to eat if you're not used to eating. Hang in there!!!
Where are you finding veggie recipes at? If you make something that turned out yummy, send it to me!! I haven't really started exercising yet. I work a lot and by the time I get home I want to veg in front of the TV! That is my biggest problem, I don't move, and I don't eat all the time so when I do eat, I eat A LOT and in front of the TV.
So far the food has been good. I like it so much better than nutrisystems. I also read when eating your meals to put them on a plate instead of eating them out of the carton. That was a GREAT idea and I think it helps with the mind games that you're not eating that much. Especially if you can fill up the rest of your plate w/veggies. How are you scattering your meals? Are you eating every 3hrs? That is what I've been doing. Are you getting in your water? I've been on/off on that.

Being in Canada I get the Canadian Bars in lew of the Anytime Bars and there isn't the gassiness with ours. Lucky me.
I have 10% of my weight to lose. Plus Hubby is doing this with me.
I started in July 2010, had to quit due to finances in March. Now we are back!!!!
Would love to have a forum to check in with every day.

I did try weight watchers, but its just too much work on the side. I have enough to do without all those little things added to my day. While I really do like to cook I think that a jump start is a great idea and having food already in portions and ready to go I think will help. I hope so. I don't know what else to do at this point.

Hi, Jennifer:
I am doing OK. hate vegetsables and they literally make me gag. I did NutriSystem once-- food hideaous. This food is much better. The portions are SMALL!! No wonder I am the size I am. Good for your daughter!
how nice that you both have someone at home to support you. So far my veggie recipes are on paper, not food. I am going to try and make 3 of them this weekend so I have them for the week. I think cooked vegetables go down better than raw. I don't eat alot at any one time a day-- I am a grazer-- I eat all day every day. Chocolate. Anything chocolate. I have been addicted to ghiradelli brownies. Ate in huge amounts! I miss them. I am bad about water. I drink a couple of Dunkin'Donut iced coffees a day. Idrink way too much Diet Coke. Trying to add 1 more water each day. Up tp 4. Although I have not had any today.
I think we did start on the same day-- June 1. Are you following the pre- planned menu or did you choose your own JC food? When is your first weigh in? Or are you doing the at- home plan? I am going to the center
tomorrow for photos and measurements. Not looking forward to it. I have to admit it has taken me starting this program to really recognize that I am huge. It's been an awakening. I only hope I have the will to follow the program to the end.
Hope you are doing well. If you would like to correspond directly, my e- mail is berryphila@verizon.net.

This is a program I can do. My weight climbed over the years from being a caregiver to my husband and never taking time for myself. He passed away last October and one of the things he wanted me to do was to "get healthy". While he wanted it for me I want it for myself more. I am committed now and have the time, the energy and the motivation. I've got 70 pounds to loose. No, make that 63 as of today!
Thank you Jenny.
