so i think i will try looking at a smaller picture for a while... and try this ten at a time method. i am currently at 200. goal is 167. therefore i have 3 of these to go then a couple pounds after that. it doens't seem so huge that way. i am so close to half way, but when i started gaining a couple it just drifted away on me. its really only 4 pounds away i guess.
so i am starting my first set of ten
any advice for me??

Sounds to me that you are on the right track..get back on the program and only worry about 10 at a time. That is what I did and it seemed to work well. I got stuck a few times, I stayed on the program, my body was just being stupid. I think age makes a big difference also. I remember the day I could eat anything, but then the golden number "50" hit and now it is a struggle. I have been at goal since January. I have kept the weight between 114 and 116...today I am 114 yippeee!!
Ok, sorry I drifted...work on that 4 pounds, hit that half way mark and take it from there!!

I was told, and I believe, you have to confuse your body once in a while. Then it will sit up and take notice
Try that. If you do, let me know how it works.

I decided to take a few weeks and just maintain. Now I'm kicking it back up... no tiny sneaks... 5 days of hard exercise... following plan... I've done 1 week and am down 2 lbs. I'm crossing my fingers that this trend continues!
Maybe try keeping your mind off the numbers for a bit, and look at a different goal. Perhaps you want to learn to run? Or try a new exercise? Or...???? Then, when you are ready, kick it back into high gear with all your "ducks in a row" so to speak.
