Hi all! I was on JC 20yrs ago after #3 son was born and loved it. I lost 37 1/2lbs in 3 mths got down to a 6 and found out I was expecting #4so. Lol. This time around is quite different besides being 20yrs older I was diagnosed 10yrs ago with Lupus and Fibro and most recently RA. I have had both hips replaced 2yrs ago so its been a ride. God has been most gracious to me. I can't work but He gave me 30yrs of parenting experience and I am pretty good at it lol. My baby just started college this year and I am a Foster mom making my contribution to the world in the one way I can :-) I have gained a lot of weight over the years and decided ita time for me. With all the pain issues I am expecting a very different experience on JC. I was very glad to see a forum for people who are dealing with challenges and reading your posts I sense a group of very supportive group. I am on day one with a 50lb goal goal by November for my nephews wedding in Cancun. Support thru the pain and the suggestions I have seen are already helping. God bless you all I will keep you in my prayers. I pray we all reach our goals and qith that reach a place where our pain levels subside and our level of of enjoyment increase exponentially :-) looking forward to sharing thw journey with you all. Stacey

Hi Stacey...
First, if you keep getting replies from me, I apologize, I am seem to be having trouble with my computer... or maybe I am not to technically saavy! I just wanted to say that I am wishing you great success in your journey! I also have Lupus (as well as Behcet's Disease), and know how difficult that can be. My husband and I adopted a sibling set of 4 children about 6 years ago from the foster system, and it has been the biggest blessing of our lives. Best of Luck to you!- Warmly, Michelle

Hi Stacey!
I too have Lupus since 1997 and am on social sec. disability because of it. I have a 16 year old son who only has known his mom as sick. I have been on prednisone over 10 years and have gained alot of weight because of it. In 1998 I stopped JC after reaching 190 pounds...3 weeks ago I joined JC at 247 lbs. and not even knowing if I'd be able to lose weight because I'm STILL on prednisone and have very limited physical activity. However, at my 2nd weigh in on Friday I was down a total of 9.1 lbs smile.gif So ANY pound I lose will make me happy at this point and I HAVE TO continue to try. I'm very happy to have found other people with lupus doing the program and having success...I hope you are doing well!

rolleyes.gif Thx sooooo much! It took me forever it seems. ha...I have a couple of health issues that causes slow weight loss, so my loss was considerably slower than normal.
