**I posted this in another forum but I feel it would be better off in this one. Sorry for the cross-posting, I do not know how to delete my topics yet.**

I am beginning my 14th week on program and have so far lost 32lbs. I LOVE the program and have no problem following it. I have a few obstacles coming up within this week and I am not entirely sure if I am making the right decisions with it. Please give me any feedback/advice/suggestions that you have! Thank you : )

Ok… Tomorrow (Wednesday) night I am going out with a bunch of my sorority sisters to a Mexican restaurant. I am not avoiding this outing, since we are all alumni (read: old) and do not get to see each other often. I reviewed their menu online and have come up with:

House salad for appetizer. (Original choice was black bean soup but according to the website it is "simmered in pork")
Salmon entree for my meal. The description of this dish from their website is - Market fresh salmon filet, brushed with cilantro sauce and broiled, served over rice with today's vegetable

I was THINKING of asking if they had brown rice, if not then ditching the rice and asking for more veggies. Also, the cilantro sauce is kind of bugging me, maybe switch it out for salsa? Has anyone ever had cilantro sauce?

Friday night - we are going out to celebrate the leaving of two of my co-workers because they have gotten into their careers. We are going to Applebee's. I am figuring to just stick with their Under550 menu. Has anyone had experience with this menu before?

Saturday Night - I am going out for my friend's birthday. It will be a $40 open bar and since I have not consumed alcohol in almost three months (that glass of sangria I had on Easter does NOT count), I plan to fully um, enjoy myself. I am planning to stick to vodka (I'll ask for a shot, as opposed to free-pour) and club soda. If they have it, I would prefer to drink a "Skinny *****" which is vanilla vodka and diet coke. I am figuring I will probably have around 4-5 and since the SB is roughly 70 calories, I won't be going TOO much over my splurge.

Sunday afternoon - They are showing the Subway Series game on a big screen in Madison Square Park (for free!) and they will also be providing food. I plan on bringing my salad kit with me since it is the only portable food item. However, there is a magical place smack-dab in the middle of the park - Shake Shack. I love Shake Shack and only eat it about once a week. I have decided to split a SMALL shake with my friend. It seems a lot better than splitting a small fries because a) the salt will be ridiculous and they're fries. I can get fries anywhere. A Shake Shack Shake? You get the picture…

I am really nervous for this weekend because I weigh in on Monday nights and I don't want to retain a lot of water.

Again, feedback/advice/suggestions will be really appreciated! Have a good day : )

Since starting JC on 02/07/2011.

Re-started on 01/09/2012...

I've had good experience with the under 550 menu at Applebee's. The choices are good, and they leave me feeling full. That with a Diet Coke will get you through that meal.

Cilantro sauce does sound mayonnaise-y, doesn't it? Ask what it's like, and if it's creamy get the salsa. You can make that decision based on the server's response.

And heck yeah, get your half a small shake. Take an extra walk around the park and feel proud of yourself for making it through the weekend.

You sound like you've thought of it all! I recently became legal and take advantage of the drinking often, and my consultant tells me to make sure I drink PLENTY of water afterwards because alcohol makes you super dehydrated (this technique also helps with the hangover the next morning... hahaha tongue.gif )
Enjoy your weekend! It's a long weekend here in Canada so I'll certainly be taking advantage of it too smile.gif

Ciao!
