Just began JC on 5/11/11. I was 264 at weigh in. My goal is 210 in about 6-7 months. I've done weight loss programs before however this is the first time I've experienced the gas, headaches, joint aches, and throat closing, constant thirst. The gas was almost immediate, the rest of the ailments came after 2 days and have been holding onto me since. I spoke to the JCC and they suggested eliminating the Anytime Bars. I have a feeling I'm allergic to all the soy products and I'm not use to the sodium or processed foods. I've decided to visit my physician just to rule out other issues.

Anyone ever experience these symptoms or have any advice?

it's a good idea to visit your doctor. only s/he can tell you for sure. i will say that you could be experiencing some withdrawal pains FROM processed and fast foods. sugar, caffeine withdrawal can both be physically and mentally painful.

i only experienced the gas and cutting back on the anytime bars cured that for me.

hang in there and best of luck! bill

Bill - Thanks for the reply. Well, it turns out I had strep throat! That was the cause of the aches and pains. And yes, probably an adjustment to the diet as a whole but not from processed food withdrawal. On the JC plan, I'm actually eating MORE processed foods.

5 down...an easy 50 more to go!
