Nieve02 - welcome aboard! I will put you on the Green Team. We are so glad you are here with us! Post often - it really helps with the motivation and accountability. This is a great group of women who are all here to help one another through our weight loss journeys. I am on Week 15 on JC and am loving the program!
For me, I completed Mt Elbrus and have started my way UP Mt Kilimanjaro!
Lisa - I do like that Subway sandwich as well. Have you tried it with the Fat Free Sweet Onion dressing instead of the mayo/mustard? It is only 40 calories and really gives the sandwich a nice flavor. I don't miss the cheese at all (although at Subway, you can't really taste the flavor of their cheeses anyway).
I got some of the Weight Watchers Smart Ones meals that were on sale at Walmart for my lunches. They definitely don't taste as good and aren't as filling. Plus, you really have to look at the calories on those and the Lean Cuisines...they typically have more calories than JC does. I do have to say that the WW Smart Ones French Toast is an equally delicious equivalent to the JC variety, plus it comes with some small sausage bites and the syrup.
Ang - you are in the lead now! WOO HOO!
Francine - how exciting to be below 200! I cannot WAIT until I see that day! I am SO looking forward to it. It must feel amazing!
Keep up the good work everyone!

Just want to let you all know that since this has been such a productive challenge so far, I have already set up my spreadsheet for our next challenge once this one is over! Oh yeah.....it'll be a BIG one....over 2 million steps to complete the Iditarod Trail (an homage to my 3 beautiful Siberians)!! Our Seven Summits is just a warm up for that one!!!
So if you finish this one early, keep logging those steps and stay on the boards because you don't want to miss out on the fun once again!

Gekko, sound familiar? Turn around - do you see me on the trail behind you LOL??? I am just over a 1000 steps up Mt Elbrus!! Hey Lisa, make sure you look for us and wave on your way back down.
I think this mountain will take me the rest of the week - hope to make it over to Africa before Cine leaves but she may be too quick for me!
Leslie - I like your ambition, but will the new challenge be one where we add to our combined team's total - so first team to do the Iditarod? upon a quick calculation (that may be mathematically flawed

Love the idea of the next challenge. Keep them coming Leslie!
So, I had a great WI today. Lost 2.6 lbs. I'm just short of a 40 lb loss. Although since WI was at 4pm I'm thinking, I may have made it. We'll see what happens next week. It does motivate me to keep on going though. I even bought a bikini at Target (I know- INSANE) but it is all about INSANITY! I'm starting the DVD workout set next Monday and it tells you to take a picture in a bikini or short gym shorts, etc and I thought, why not? What a great motivation, right?? Well, I'll let you know how it goes. It's an intense program for 60 days and I'm hoping it will be perfect for my 6 week trip to Nicaragua where I can't do much running.
Anyway, congrats to everyone. Sounds like we are all doing well. Here are my updated results.
Australia - Mt Kosciusko 7,310 steps - DONE
Australasia/Oceania - Carstensz Pyramid 16,023 Steps - DONE
Antartica - Mt Vinson 16,067 Steps - DONE
Europe - Mt Elbrus 18,510 Steps - DONE
Africa - Kilimanjaro 19,340 Steps - ALMOST DOWN
Total steps as of yesterday: 150,701

What does everyone think?
Here is the specifics on the Iditarod walk. Go to this link on the Jenny articles and the first PDF on there is the Iditarod trail. I made a more comprehensive spreadsheet to track steps - I can share it with anyone who is interested. Just send me a private email on JC and give me your personal email address. I don't think I can send an attachment through the Jenny site, can I?

Oh...and I LOVE you all waving hello to one another along your hikes! That made me smile - I could almost picture it!
On the personal side: Man I am TIRED this week. I skipped yoga on Tuesday because I literally had no energy and wanted to go to sleep. I went for a walk and totally ran out of steam half way through. I wake up in the mornings fighting having to get up and once I'm up, I could still totally go back to bed. I get a lot of sleep so lack of sleep isn't the problem. I have just been really tired the past week. This weekend, I was sleeping 10-12 hours a day! What's up with that? I forced myself to go to Yoga yesterday - it felt good to be there, but I did sit out of several postures just cause I didn't have the juice. I'm going to go again tonight.
I also have a confession to make: yesterday I totally gave in to my emotional eating and had restaurant fish and chips for lunch! Oh the fried goodness! I was frustrated because I had to spend $600 in car repairs yesterday and now have to spend another $580 to get 4 new tires this weekend. We can't afford it, and I was stressed over it. So what do I do? Go spend money on food I didn't need! It tasted good, but I didn't feel good about the choice afterwards. I knew I didn't need it. And it went against my "food is for purpose" new mantra. So, I'm posting my indescretion for all the world to read! Thanks for listening.
ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz.....I need a nap and it is only 9:30am here!

Sorry I went MIA, but it's been a busy week. My work is my workout, I work at a very large garden center north of Boston. I buy plants and manage an area of the garden center so lots of lifting, moving and walking these days. It's 10 - 12 hours of aerobics, seriously. Plus I'm often doing the steps with my arms full of plants/weight. Needless to say I am wiped out after the long weekend. I actually took a short nap in my car Tues. night when I got home, just too tired to get out and go in the house.
Since the last time:
25th 5072, day off
26th 6583, day off
27th 28233, 5 trucks unloaded
28th 22557, 3 trucks
29th 14862, ordered more plants
30th 19174
31st 20288
1st 2124, crashed
Today I am taking it easy since nice weather should have me being very busy again.
total so far 284445 on my way down Mt Everest. Come on Iditarod!!!!
Also I was up .2 this week, but my pants are just about falling off of me so I think I maybe losing inches. I have been unbeleiveably hungry this week. Sounds like everyone is doing really well on the challenge. Take care.

I only started in my activity yesterday, wanted a full week on the program first to make sure I can do this and then incorporate my activity, but I think it's going to be easier then I thought!
Australia - Mt Kosciusko - DONE!
Australasia/Oceania - Carstensz Pyramid - 1/4 up
I think a 200 day challenge is a great idea - would definitely keep me on track and motivated. Maybe mini-goals along the way would help keep the monotony at bay! Just fast forwarding to the end of challenge and thinking how proud I would be (and how much bragging I would do lol) to say that I accomplished walking over 2 million steps!!!

Leslie, I have been having a tough time too. I keep eating to cope with fatigue. I have been eating the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches and too many snacks. I totally get the part about needing a nap at 9:30am. Me too. Seriously, I've been wondering if I need an iron pill, or a different job.
Francine I had that same cold, clearly it's making it's way all around Boston.
Ladybug, I love the BAM sounds like my day at work.
Marta, you look fantastic. I've heard Insanity is really hard. Good for you for doing it.
Hi to all I missed
Okay today so far 25213 steps. So total so far is 309658. So I'm down Mt Everest. 10790 so far in to the Iditarod. Plus 4 truck loads of plants 4.44 hours of activity. Okay I'm headed to bed soon. Pretty much my life lately, eat sleep, get plants in, put them away and sell like crazy. Can't wait till it slows down a bit and I'll have more time for running. Take care.
