I just started Monday 5/16. The food seems to be keeping me full, but I definatly need to figure out how to make my vegetables taste better.

I find that it keeps me full during the day (I eat more at work because I am usually stressed) and I also ensure that I have the required amount of veggies. This may also work for you even if you choose chicken or salmon as your topping.
I hope this helps.

You can totally do this. I joined about 11 weeks ago and just like always I had more doubts than anything. I am losing it slowly but I have lost 18.4 lbs and thats amazing considering I have such a long way to go. I am now down 1 size in pants. May I suggest Garlic Herb & Pepper for Veggies. It helps!

Heyyy FitDiva,
Me and you are in the same boat, I need to loose about 85lbs. We have a long journey but we can do it!
It's good to make your first goal 20lbs gone, if you weight 220 like me thats 10% gone which gives you a Healthier Heart.
By losing just 10 percent of your body weight, you can lower your cholesterol and reduce your blood pressure, High cholesterol and elevated blood pressure are two major risk factors for heart disease.
So, good choice!
Good luck!

Welcome GrammaJude!
45 lbs is very do-able. I lost 62 lbs and many many here on the forums have lost LOTS more. If we can do it, SO CAN YOU!!!
Come here often as possible. You can lean on us all you need to. We are all here to encourage one another through our journey's...and thereafter in my case as well.

You'll find this to be the easiest plan you've ever been on and unlike most diets, this will not only help you to lose weight (I lost 45 lbs.) but will help you to learn a new way to look at food for the rest of your life.
Come to the boards often. We want to know how you are finding the program.

Good for you! Learning to stay on track even when you go off plan is a great learning tool that will help you especially when you go on maintenance.
Of course you're still new to the program so try to restrict those off plan nights for now OR talk to your JCC BEFORE you go out for an evening. It will really help you to focus and understand the exchanges and where you can "save" calories for an evening splurge and where you can't.
I'm not sure if it is your Avatar that is your planned body for Christmas, but it sure would be a nice one to have at Christmas or anytime!

I have 67.5 lbs to lose and so far... I'm hungry. I'm so used to eating pasta and 'comfort foods' that fill you up. Shrinking my stomach is going to be quite the challenge. How long before you guys were not hungry anymore?

Also - don't forget about water - at least 8 glasses a day. It's amazing how it can fill you up and satisfy you - I flavor mine with MIO - it does not add any calories, fat, etc.
Do or do not....there is no try

Month 1 - 6.5
Month 2 - 6.5
Month 3 - 5.5
