NOT!!!
That was the longest 20 minutes of my life (and the shortest work out I have done in a long time). I mapped out the 30 days, and I am definitely giving myself 10 days per level.
Assuming I survive the rest of the day, I will keep you guys posted about my progress. Phew!

If you are looking for a way to jazz up your workout, Jillian's 30 day Shred will flat do it! I am planning on having surgery on my left hand next month, so I thought it might be good to get toned up as much as I could so I can get away with just cardio during recovery. I hope I am right.

Another point I wanted to make about for those of us who are over 60 - I am working on my balance. There are two movements that I find difficult, so I have to really concentrate. One is the lunges. On one side, I do better than the other. The other is the final stretching she has you pull your foot up behind you to stretch your hammies. I can't do this without propping myself up on the entertainment center. My hope is that I will get to the point where I can balance on one foot. With aging, balance is very, very important.
Thanks for the encouragement. I will be having hand surgery sometime next month (I'll know in a week or so), and my plan is to get through the Shred so I can have the endurance to run during my recovery when I won't be able to use my hand weights for a while.
Barbara: you can do it. Just don't get too head up with it at first. Try and keep up, but if you can't, no biggie. Try again the next day. I was gasping for breath (and calling Jillian a number of interesting things - and it had nothing to do with our name we share (mine is just Jill)), but I was determined to get through it, and I did!

DOWNSIDE: I was UP 2 pounds at weigh in today. I know it is just water because I have been following my eating plan along with the exercise. I gave myself yesterday off, and today I just took about 1.5 mile walk with my greyhound in the park (excuse me - that is a 1.5 mile DRAG with my greyhound. Anyone who has a male dog knows of what I speak).
I have decided to stay with maintenance after all. Beginning with this weigh in, I am going every other week for weigh ins, and eating Jenny every other day. I'll let y'all know how that goes.
