Southern: I am living proof that you can lose weight as a post-menapausal woman. I just had my physical and my doctor could not have been happier! I won't kid you, girlfriend. It is NOT easy. It can be frustrating. But, truthfully, you need to know you can do it; but you will need to work out on a regular basis to get there.

One last broken record comment: do the Planned Menus! They TOTALLY work! And, no, I am not a Jenny Craig compensated spokesperson! It is just true.

LOVE YA!
JILL

P.S. I lost most of my weight in 2004 at age 57. I came back on Labor Day to shed a few pounds that crept back on (okay, 39 pounds). I have reset my goal weight to be where I was back then, and I am 3 pounds from that goal!
Started 1/5/04 - weighed 282.8
5/24/04 - 216.2 HALFWAY!
5/21/05 - 164.6

Fresh Start 9/6/2010 - 205.8 Goal: 170 (being realistic)
April 4, 2011 - 170 GOAL!!!!!

Hey Donna:
My name is Deb and I am 58 and started JC 3 weeks ago. So far have lost 4 lbs. - have 86 more to go. I keep reminding myself it that this is a lifestyle change so it needs to be slow. Good for you starting - the first step of the journey. Good luck

Hi.. I am Carol...I am on Day 2 of the program..I am really excited about this and so ready to get off this 34 lbs. that have slowly came back. I had a Gastric Bypass in 2001 and lost close to 100 lbs. BUT..I never learned to eat! They did not have any support groups then and it was "either you can eat it or throw it up" I know that this will be the "final" plan that I am going to be on...It a life style NOT a diet!

Look forward to hearing comments.....

Hello Girls...
I am Carol and I am 50. (that sounds old to me) LOL I am on day 2 of Jenny and so far I am very happy to finally be doing something that is important to "ME" Your right Deb, this is a lifestyle change and NOT a diet. The food is so far really good..Is there anything I should stay away from? Glad to be on this journey with friends to talk too..WE ALL CAN DO IT!!!!!!

Hi Donna,
I am also just starting, this is my 2nd week. My name is also Donna & I am 51. I'd love to be your friend/buddie even though I'm on the opposite side of the country! I am also on faceBook, so let me know if you want to be friends.

Good Luck!
