I have been doing Jenny since September of last year 2010, I have lost about 28 lbs, still need to lose 50 to get to my goal weight. My problem is that I have been feeling like I was before I started, tired all the time, no energy, all I want to do is sleep. I did recently start on a low dose birth control b/c of problems with my cycle, I am finding that even though I have been keeping myself busy in the evenings so I don't sit around and eat, I am finding myself hungry. I find it very difficult to keep my calories at 1200, I have IBS so I can't eat too many veggies, and I'm also at the point where I am just so SICK of eating Jenny food, I do love the food, I am just so sick and tired of eating it every day! I don't know for sure what is going on, I have tried many things, tried eating more protein, tried drinking more water(I currently drink close to 14 glasses a day) I tried exercising more, but then started cramping up during my workouts, I need help! I really don't think I have plateaued yet, I do lose here and there. HELP!!!

I don't know what to say, I have never gotten sick of the JC food, I love it. I made a mistake though...the other Day I went into the city and since I was there I thought I would stock up on my triple chocolate cheesecake. I still had about 10 or so left in the freezer but I thought I would pick up 30 since I don't go to the city to often. Well I had forgotten I had an order coming in and today I am getting 2 weeks of food and another 30 cheesecake. I will have cheesecake coming out my eyeballs. I am on maintenance so I guess it is not a big issue...at least I am good for cheesecake for a good while.

Ok, that doesn't help your problem. More than likely it is your body adjusting to the hormones. Give it a little time and see how it goes. Don't give up though, you have done so well. Maybe just once in awhile toss a small chicken breast on the grill to give yourself a break from the JC food. Talk to your consultant about it!

When you had your birth control changed, did they test your thyroid as well? I am on the lowest dose of birth control and also have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. I can always tell when my levels are off because I am so tired- all the time! Thyroid disease can also slow your weight loss, making the task seem even more daunting. And, I too have IBS, so I have to be careful what I eat. These factors make it so hard to take the weight off, but they are also part of the reason the weight issue exists. It's a vicious cycle.

I wish you the best, and hope you can get some motivation back!

I too started in September of 2010 and have also lost 28 pounds. If I did the math right, you are about 10 pounds from halfway point. At that point your consultant will put you on MOMO (meals on my own). That will help with the boredom of always eating the same foods all the time.

Also, talk to your consultant. I've had trouble over the months (still do) on losing pounds and inches. Even though I follow the plan and exercise 1 1/2 hours per day (walking), it still takes me two or three weeks to lose a pound. My consultant was extremely helpful in giving me advice on different things that worked for me, such as switching when I eat lunch and dinner; spreading out my meals during the day to every one-two hours (while keeping within my 1200 plan), given like you, I am always hungry.

Also ask your consultant about foods you can eat that could be used as substitutions for the foods you are unable to eat given your IBS issues.

I also am on the Metabolix Max plan and it is great having the armband to watch calories in/calories out plus tracking your exercise each day. I check it a few times a day so I know when I'm under my exercise/eating goals for that day.

Good luck to you. You are doing really well and given you are looking for support tells me you you really want to succeed. And, I believe you will.

Hey Twolilwienies, first of all congrats for still being on the program. Like you i've had moments when i was so SICK & TIRED of jc foods. Volumizing my meals with veggies and stuff got on my nerves. But on the other hand, i was so frightened of eating something else because i didn't want to gain because i ate non-jenny foods (i declined almost all social events due to this). Well, guess what? That's not the case at all. In fact, by eating something else, when i came back to jc foods i regained my love for them. For example, for lunch one day i had an el pollo grilled chicken salad without extras or dressing all under 300 calories and i didn't gain weight. When i do this once in a while, i plan way ahead by reading and comparing the nutrition#s (which are usually on the restuarants website online) very carefully to match the meal i am supposed to have. Just food for thought for you to consider.

As for feeling fatigued all the time, i experienced the same thing. One would think that by eating healthier and working out, i'd have more energy? But that was the opposite. In fact, climbing up 10 steps to my apartment was exhausting even on days i didn't exercise. How did i deal with this? Well, i've come to the fact that my body like life is unpredictable, some days are great others are not. Therefore, when i'm physically tired, i try to rest and when i am not i enjoy my day and use my strength to accomplish things i had to do like chores.

Hope this encourages you that you are not alone in this journey. Keep going and do not let life's vallies make you give up and stop fighting. No weight loss journey is perfect and what matters is perseverance. All the best to you smile.gif

I am in the same boat as you are. I am always tired and completely sick of JC food. I have started eating a few meals on my own during the week, but have found that what I used to love to eat really isn't that appetizing anymore. I am finding myself slipping back into my old routine of eating a good breakfast and maybe a piece of fruit during the day and something small for dinner since I am really not hungry. This bad habit is making me gain some of my weight back, which I can definitely feel so as a result, I am now disgusted with myself (again) and totally unmotivated. I refuse to speak to my JCC about it since she is no help whatsoever. Actually, since the JCC I used to have quit, I haven't been happy with anyone at the center. I just go in, get my food and leave. It is very possible it is because I am not happy with myself for feeling this way and allowing it to happen again. I am on meds for depression and I am the type of person who just shuts down and retreats into my own little world. And to make matters worse, I am very limited as to what type of exercising I can do, but do walk the dogs when I have time since I am extremely busy with work and the added stress in my house is not helping me in anyway, but there is no way of changing that situation. Losing weight for me is very hard and things I do to lose 1/2 lb, I know people my age who do half of what I do and they loose more. I find that very unfair. It would be nice if something came easy to me, just once in my life. I really don't have any support either, except my husband and he isn't home during the week. He tries to encourage me as much as he can. Thanks for listening.
