I have several children - 2 play traveling soccer. Of course after a hard fought game, the team wants to go out for burgers. This becomes a serious problem for me because as I am trying so hard to stick to my diet plan and have been doing a really good job eating healthier foods. Except on these occasions it has become very hard for me to make the right decisions. Although I love to give them coaching on the way home and at the burger shop, I am starting to think I should just let the wife take the boys home to avoid the risk.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm still trying to get past the "several kids" lol I have two teenagers and of course they are always wanting taco bell, mcdonalds, KFC. When I started with JC I just laid down the rules. I don't mind if they go, but I'm not going, hubby can do the fast food for a while <g> I avoid them completely, not even the drive thru's because my hand will find it's way into the bag before I even pull away!

Anyway, so far, what has worked for me is: (None of this is ground breaking, I'm afraid)
1. Water or Diet Soda. LOTS of it. I ordered a large diet coke the other day in the drive thru...I was about to explode by the time we got home.
2. Always have JC item on hand (usually Anytime Bar)
3. Allow myself ONE french fry. Enjoy it. Savor it. And then move on.
4. 100 Days of Weight Loss by Linda Spangle is a great tool that I go to. I have chants that I repeat to myself over and over when I'm surrounded by temptation.
Good luck!
