I am curious if anyone is on or has tried the JC Silver program and what the differences may be?

I just joined June 14, 2011 so it's been a week on the program and this first week I went exactly by that menu and have lost 4 lbs. I an soooo excited! The literature does mention a Silver Program...I will ask my consultant this pm.

I have been going to the center here in Bluffton, SC, since May, and no one told me about a "Silver program" for seniors. Does anyone know about this???

I had asked my counselor and she said there wasn't any difference in the food plan or the # of calories intake. Since it's all the same probably just a way of saying JC is okay for Seniors, diabetics, etc.. to get us all into the Centers. Not that I'm complaining! I'm here trying to loose weight on the program just like everyone else. If anyone else found out anything different Share please

My counselor said the same thing. No special Silver Program. It is mentioned just so that people considering JC know that it is okay for Seniors.

They did have Silver Sneakers- which gives a price break determined by Social Security or your health insurance. Nutrisystem now has Silver Sneakers, and I can't find any info that JC jhas any price break for those of us over 65????

Well, no, I've never heard of the Silver Program.

As for your insurance, call your agent or the company. What's the worse thing they can say?

Let's face it - most of us don't hear about certain benefits simply because we don't ask for read the fine print in all of the paperwork they give us when we sign up for an insurance program.

I used to sell health insurance and trust me, there was no way I had time to read my clients ever little thing so I always suggested they thoroughly read the policy. I doubt if many (or any) did.

Also, there are many corporations who also offer discounts and incentives for their employees to join weight loss programs because those who are a healthy weight cost them less in insurance and lack of sick days.

Soooooooo ask your insurance company and if you work for a big employer, ask the personnel office too.

Again, if they say "no" you haven't lost anything; but if the answer is "yes" look what you'll have gained. :)
