This sounds really great to me! I think it is a way to challenge me to get into running. It's an online marathon. And you do not have to do all of the 26.2 miles in one stint, you just have to complete it between May 1st-31st. There are even prizes for people who complete it. I am starting the book Running Your Butt Off. It is a 12 week (or as long as it takes you) program to get you running. It is easy too. The first week is to walk 30 minutes 4 times a week, the next week is 4 min walk, 1 min run, four times. And then it just keeps increasing. I am really excited about it!

Anyone want to join me???

Do you have any ideas of where I could get a used double jogging stroller for cheap? I have tried ebay and craigslist. Do you know any other sites?

That sounds like a great book - I might look into it.
I'm not quite ready to run just yet. I need to get rid of the extra extra fat I'm carrying to make it feasable.
Plus with the hot/humid summers we have here, running would kill me (I have asthma)
I'm hoping to spend this summer getting rid of the extra that sits on my extra... and building up my endurance through swimming and biking... then when September hits - move to jogging.
It's my goal to do a 5k next spring (I can't believe I'm even thinking about it).
Ultimate Goal

July 4th Challenge (or July 1st - 'cause I'm Canadian eh!)

Memorial Day Challenge met May 18 (12 days early - yay me)

I did my first walk today, and man I feel amazing. I live on a big hill and have been scared of walking down it, but I did and I am so proud of myself. I can't believe how great it felt to walk outside. My daughter kept looking back at me with the biggest smile. She loved it too! I think I could keep doing this! I actually went 45 minutes instead of 30 and walked 2.75 miles! Woo Hoo!
