Hey everyone,
I've been on JC for 8 weeks now, lost 15 lbs so far. The food is great, but getting monotonous now. I've seen pictures in the office of JC food prepared in different ways, and wondering what, if anything you do to jazz up your JC meals.

I generally like to slip a pat of margarine into a hot banana nut mini loaf. But one time, I sliced it open, and layered it with berries and pomegranante flavored whip cream. It was awesome, like a party in my mouth.

I like to have a plain greek yogurt with fruit in the morning, but when I have a breakfast scramble, I will usually drop a spoonful of the plain yogurt into the eggs with a bit of salsa. Less calories than sourcream and very delicious.

Also, my grocery store has a creamy avocado salad dressing that's low in calories, and is delicious as a dip. So, I like to get the honey mustard pretzels and dip them in the avocado dressing. That's a nice way to add to it.

I ate the lunch pizza today for the first time...and layered on top of the pizza: sliced cherry tomatoes, broccoli, red onions and one wedge of garlic and herb laughing cow cheese (35 calories)...I just sort of smeared it over the pizza...then cooked in the oven. it was actually really yummy!!!

I love the chicken sandwich but quickly got bored with it so recently I cooked the chicken, put it in a baggie and soaked it in Frank's hot sauce, then added a very thinly sliced piece of provolone (from the deli). I ate the sandwich with veggie chips and salsa...nice and spicy. Sometimes I shred the chicken, also adding hot sauce, put it into a low-fat flour tortilla or veggie wrap, add 1/4 cup low fat mozzarella (skipping my dairy in the morning), and I have a satisfying chicken wrap.

I use the SW Chicken & Rice to make a stuffed pepper - just slice off the top, take out the seeds and stuff with the chicken & rice that's been mixed with a little salsa. Bake @ 350 until the pepper is soft.

I like to add spinach and/or zucchini to the pasta dishes and use the chilis to make taco salads.

If I have an item that needs a meat serving - such as the broc & cheese potato or mac and cheese, I save it so that I can put a nice hunk of lf mozzarella and some ff homemade pasta sauce on the turkey burger to make a pizza burger. It's my favorite thing! wub.gif

Hope these ideas help!

Like the previous poster, I put grilled zucchini in the pasta dishes as well - especially like it in the chicken carbanara.

i love veggies and add them to the meals--- I like the pasta dishes the best for example with spaghetti and meatballs I may add zuchinni, mushrooms, and eggplant--- cook it in olive oil Pam spray and place the meal on top--- I recently had the fish and chips and cut up zuchinni into strips coated with dijon mustard dipped into panko crumbs (1/8 cup) and reduced fat parmesan cheese (2 tbs) Baked in the oven on convect at around 350 until browned -- tasted great---- Also for any kale lovers--- take your kale tear it into potato chip pieces and coat with olive oil pam spray--- add some salt (and/or reduce calorie parmesan) and place in oven convect around 350--- toss them occasionally and re spray if needed - cook until crisp--- they are somewhat like potato chips for snacking and healthy as well (-:
