Week 6...need a little motivation.

Hi Everyone...I'm down 17 lbs in 5 weeks, which i am SUPER happy about, but for some reason, this week has been tough for me. sad.gif I'm having a hard time battling the junk food cravings and late night snacking. UGH!
I would LOVE some motivating words from other Thirty Somethings!!! smile.gif Thanks All!

Hi Gretchen, I know what you mean!! Although I am only in week two I have had some cravings that are not healthy ones. I take one day at a time. I drive for my job so I drive by fast food places constantly. It is so much easier to stop and get something there than worry about fixing my lunch.

One poster said she pays so much money for her Jenny Craig food that she wont pay more to cheat. I totally agree with her as it makes so much sense.

Try keeping low fat snacks easily accessible for you to grab when you have a craving. Try drinking a glass of water. Cravings usually last me a very short time and I have read several times that when you think you are hungry you are actually a little dehydrated so drinking water can help stomp out those cravings.

I assume you are in week 6 now and hope you were able to over come those cravings.

Good luck the end goal is just fantastic!!

Hi Gretchen! Congrats on the great weight loss! Natalie has some great suggestions which I follow as well. I also try to figure out what I'm craving and try to see if there is a JC food that could fulfill the craving. My cravings are typically fries - so I get the fish and chips; chocolate - I get only chocolate snacks; and mexican - southwestern chicken/fajitas.

You can also take advantage of your limited free foods like 1/4 cup of fat free, sugar free pudding or fruit.
