I just joined this week and wondered if there where anyone from Indy around. I am looking to loose about 50 pounds and would like to start some outdoors type activities rather than workout at a gym. However, I do like workout classes like Zumba and Yoga.

Hi, I am in the Hamilton County area? Where are you exactly...Today is my first day, I have about 22 to lose.

HOw is the first month been?

Joined early April, live north of Indy. Best luck to both of you. Working on finishing my second month and have lost 16.5 lbs so for, 30'ish to go. Pretty easy program to follow.

danielle1974 - Zumba is a great option for calorie burn. I was doing Yoga in a Fishers studio, liked it but I live about 30-35 miles north of there and had to make a real effort to get to a class. I have two teen boys who are very busy right now in baseball.

Hi Indy buddies! I live on the southside so not real close to you guys on the northside. However emails are great motivation to. Today I get my 2 month weigh in. I have lost about 18 pounds so far. I feel great. I really ready to hit my halfway mark so I can plan 2 days on my own. The cost is killing me. I have been working out like crazy. I joined a small gym at a church that has a really cheap membership. I do classes there. They have kickboxing and toning/cardio that I have been doing. The toning/cardio is like interval training. I love them. They push me to my limits! They are starting a bootcamp in June that I am going to do. It's 3 days a week. Should be interesting! When I get measured today it should be really good. Wish me luck!

Hi - also in Indy area and losing but long way to go. Need suggestions for exercise options and locations near 75th and college or 79th and ditch. Primarily Greenbriar or Township Line Road. Ate driving very far in winter although this year, so far, MUCH better than last! Does Zumba work for beginners? And did any of you feel tired in the first couple of weeks dieting?
