Hi Nicole,

I have been trying to find a way to let you know how inspiring you have been to me, not sure if you will ever see this, but it seems like the best option available.

About a month ago, Netflix and Hulu both recommended that I watch Rita Rocks on the same day. I had never heard of it, but I thought it was a funny coincidence and decided that I should give it a try. I began watching and realized that I felt exactly like the character Rita. I told my husband after watching the first episode that it was about a mom who feels like she lost herself along the way or something like that. His response was a (nice and) sarcastic, “Well that doesn’t sound familiar at all.” I have been married almost 6 years and am a stay at home mom to a (almost) 4 year old and a 21 month old. I love being a mom, but have been feeling for some time that I had given up myself to become a mom.

As I watched the show, I began thinking about the parts of me that I had left behind, that I wanted back. One day I just picked up my journal and started writing poetry again, I got my old paints out and started painting, and I started trying to exercise more and eat better. When I met my husband I was artistic, very social and (somewhat) athletic, but had become pretty much the opposite of all of that. I was suddenly so inspired to make my life what I want it to be.

After I finished watching your show, I was really sad that it was over, so I searched your name to see if you were in anything else that I might like. That was the first time I saw your Jenny Craig before and after pictures. (We only watch TV online, so we don’t see many commercials). So, I went to your blog and read and watched everything on there. I started Jenny Craig pretty much the next day. That was one week ago. I really love it. I had my first weigh in today and I have lost 2.6 lbs. I was hoping for a bigger drop the first week, but I am not too disappointed. I am too excited and confident that this will work for me to feel sad. For the first time ever, I really believe that I can lose weight, I really believe that I will be able to lose the extra 65 lbs that I have gained since college, I believe that I can make the changes in my life to make me the person that I want to be.

And this all started with you. So thank you!
